    2007 Cobalt SS/SC Polish

Thanks man!! Dana is awesome and patient. I've been thinking of getting Concorso (his recommendation), but can't justify the cost. I have two pots of Natty's Blue and a pot of Natty's Red. Maybe he'll sell me his pot haha. That Cobalt must be sick. What all does it have done to it?

    Misc ?s. 105/205 and Tape

I've never used AIO. If you have the 205, I would use that since it's a designated polish and not all-in-one product. Make sure that you have 5.5" orange pads at speed 6 to get correction with 105. I'm just getting used to its fast work time using a rotary. I'm not sure how it behaves with a PC...

    Misc ?s. 105/205 and Tape

M105 works very fast. I've just started getting the hang of it since switching from Menzerna. What will you be using M105 with? Rotary or DA? Wool or foam? For your wheels, I would try using some M205 and a microfiber towel to polish them out. You always want to start with the least aggressive...

    2007 Cobalt SS/SC Polish

Thanks O.C.! As an update, of course after I posted these up and went to lunch, the sun came out. I snapped a few sun shots. :) That is a strand of dog hair from sitting in the garage overnight...not a scratch.

    2007 Cobalt SS/SC Polish

These are all the after shots of just using 3M Ultrafine polish and a 5.5" Blue LC CCS pad using the Dewalt 849 at 1500 RPMs, and after a coat of Poorboy's Work Natty's Blue paste wax. I apologize in advance for the bad quality sun shots. It was overcast and the sun was just not cooperating. I...

    2007 Cobalt SS/SC Polish

Hi guys! I had some free time this weekend and was able to get my personal car cleaned up. I did a big two step a little while ago so this time it only needed a light polish to bring back the shine. Enjoy the pictures and as always, any comments are welcome! :) I took care of the interior on...

    Taping before polishing...

Most of your higher end detailers that know how to use a rotary will not tape off high points because they know how to work around them without causing damage. I'm not trying to be smart or anything, I'm just saying. Regardless of if you're doing this to your own car or others, you should really...

Don't tape off high points to begin with.

Beginner Questions :Pad Priming & Different Pads to Detail,

If you don't prime the pads yourself, then the first few passes you make will prime them as a dry pad will soak up the polish and end up priming itself. You are priming your pads whether you know it or not. :xyxthumbs:

    Wolfgang confusion...please help

It will vary from car to car. GM generally has a harder clear coat on their cars and Vettes generally have a clear coat on the harder side. The best thing to do is divide your hood into sections. Do one section with the TSR, FG, and sealant, and the other starting at the FG and sealant. The...

    Meguiar's M105

With M105, you can use a wool or white pad. It's good to follow up M105/wool with M105/white. I had a tough time, and still am to some extent, getting used to it because I used Menzerna polishes a lot which have diminishing abrasives, and M105 is non-diminishing. You just have to get used to the...
