Need help...getting ready for new black car

I've never used either, but spend $19.99 and get Natty's Blue. I'm a little biased. :D I will say Souveran has received some great reviews however. :) There are just so many choices...that's half the fun!

That's good that you have that extra polish as you may have to use it. A good way to get rid of some stuff that you really don't want would be to trade or just toss. That way when your wife sees another order, you can say, "I don't have the other stuff anymore." :D

    Masking Tape

You only tape off sections that you don't want to polish such as around the edge of a tail light or around rubber moldings and emblems.

I love Opti-Bond! Best and easiest stuff to use in my opinion. I would like to try Pneu...if I could get over the cost.

Beginner Questions :Pad Priming & Different Pads to Detail,

Priming a pad correctly with polish does not take very long if done right. In my opinion, I thinks it's just better overall to just use the polish; that way all questions of does it affect it or not are taken out. I have the Pinnacle pad conditioner that I used to use with the Pinnacle polishes...

That looks like a great plan of attack. Keep in mind that even though your car will be new, it could still have minor swirling that 85rd may not be able to remove. In the future you may want to pick up a medium polish such as SIP or M205. If you don't want to shell out the dough for Souveran, go...

Beginner Questions :Pad Priming & Different Pads to Detail,

Ahh of course. Let me ask you this, why spend the money on a pad conditioner when you can just use a little bit of polish and not have to question anything at all?

    Master list for OEM clearcoats

I'm not sure if there is a list like this around. Maybe someone on here with a lot of experience with different cars could lend a hand. The thing is though, even if you have a list, a car could have been resprayed or something. I find it best to do a test spot to see what you're working with.

    Which Order??

From what you have listed up there, as mentioned, you have a lot of doubles. If you're looking for a wet look, you need to get polishes. Waxes, sealants, and glazes won't do much. Do you have a DA or rotary? Any pads? The 85rd is a final polish and will not do much correcting to remove swirls...

Beginner Questions :Pad Priming & Different Pads to Detail,

Haha...I think you may want to find a better way to prime it lol. I usually just spread my polish in a circle around the pad and then rub it in with all of my fingers. It may not be the best, but it works for me.

What to use with M105/205? Waxes/glazes/sealents?

As others have said, M105 and M205 is a great combination. Which pads do you have? The order that you will go is wash, clay, wash again if you want to, compound with 105, polish with 205, and then final polish with something like 3M Ultrafine. 205 needs to be followed up to bring your gloss to...
