Video: 10-month ceramic coating update! + Chemical torture test!

I don't think you understood my point. It's perfectly fine to top a coating with whatever, and suggested, but that's not was the topic was about. It was about the durability of the coating, not of the toppers. So, while it's good to top coatings, it defeats the purpose of reviewing the...

Video: 10-month ceramic coating update! + Chemical torture test!

If you're continuously topping a coating then you're not really getting any durability results from the coating, but from all those toppers on the coating. A 10 month or however long review of a coating without anything on top except for washing would be a proper way to test it's durability.

    Clear coat failure

Flex cracking or spiderwebbing, however you prefer to call it. Repaint is the only option I know of.

    My Rupes DIED!!

i think 2 years now, maybe closer to 3. I just change the water filter when the light comes on and that's it. I've had Samsung phones for many years, monitors, TV's, all with no issue (except the phone battery going bad but whatever). The only thing I wouldn't buy from Samsung is a washer and...

    My Rupes DIED!!

My Samsung fridge is great, no issues, but I went with LG washer and dryer due to Samsung's bad history in the last few years with those. Other than that, I prefer Samsung for everything else.

    My Rupes DIED!!

Your cars must never need any work to fix anything, you must never get sick, your home appliances must last a lifetime, since you take such good care of things and that's all that's required for something to last. Yes it's all just marketing. It tells the customer that they stand behind their...

    My Rupes DIED!!

I remember a time when people wanted Rupes specifically because they were made in Italy. How exactly do you define inexpensive? Last I checked GG BOSS polishers were almost as expensive as Rupes polishers. They've raised their prices with each version it seems so now they've got the most...

    My Rupes DIED!!

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or you just really, really like Rupes service for whatever reason. When they come close to Griot's Garage service, then they can begin to be called world class, and that includes a lifetime warranty.

    My Rupes DIED!!

For an additional cost, yes they will.

    My Rupes DIED!!

I think Griot's Garage sends a shipping label to the customer. It's been many years so I don't remember, but I'm pretty sure they do.

    My Rupes DIED!!

While in the 1 year warranty do you have to pay shipping to get it repaired or they cover that?

HD Speed still a great product

Speed stained every pad I tried with it, which was annoying.

    Paint thickness gauges $10-$15

The whole point of a paint meter is to know what you're dealing with, so it is an important thing to have when polishing and compounding. The cheaper ones won't tell you exactly how much clear you have but they will give you a good idea of how aggressive you can go in a particular area. If...

    Carpro PERL and Leather

It looks like it would be slimy after application, like a tire dressing.

    Carpro Essence xtreme Gloss

let me correct myself. After the FC I tried Essence to remove the haze left behind, and that's when it did nothing, so I used FC to finish it off instead. Essence didn't even remove the light haze on the piano trim which surprised me.

Cquartz UK or DLUX for wheels

Agreed, I've noticed the same thing.

    Carpro Essence xtreme Gloss

Right, that's what I used for the initial cut, then followed by the FC, but the Essence just didn't do anything at all which surprised me.

I appreciate the info, but just for future reference, use paragraphs so everyone can benefit and it won't be glossed over.

    Nano

It's battery powered so the plugging in stuff doesn't apply here. There's also nothing blocking any vents, incoming or outgoing. I'm not going to read that giant wall of text, but if you already know it doesn't answer the specific issue nor solve the problem, I'm not sure what your point of...
