I agree, but I make sure not to ever block the vents. After a little while the exiting air gets pretty hot so I couldn't keep them covered even if I wanted to.

Wait, WHAT? What do you NOT like about your polisher??

I use a 12 gauge 50' cord for everything. At 50' I think it matches the 16 gauge shorter cord. There's a calculation for it around somewhere.

Wait, WHAT? What do you NOT like about your polisher??

Also referencing the BOSS polishers cords, they seem to be right in the middle of short and long. Shorter would be ok, add an extension cord, and longer would be ok, probably not needing an extension cord. As of right now, they are right in the middle. Tha's pretty much my only gripe with the...

    Carpro Essence xtreme Gloss

Now that I think about it I think the bottle of Essence was expired by a few months, but not sure if that would matter or not. Only thing I can think of is it left behind the exact same haze and didn't remove it. Keep in mind this isn't black paint, it's the piano black trim on the pillars...

    Carpro Essence xtreme Gloss

I think a rating of 2 is being optimistic. After using BOSS CC on BOSS orange to knock down the black piano trim, I tried the Essence on both the BOSS orange and yellow pads to remove the haze and did nothing at all. Either I got a bad bottle as suggested or it has closer to 0 or 1 in the cut...

    Carpro Essence xtreme Gloss

Yep, it was Essence. I tried it on both the orange and yellow BOSS pads, absolutely no correction at all. I ended up using BOSS correcting cream on orange then finishing cream on yellow and then coated.

    Carpro Essence xtreme Gloss

I tried it once on some black piano pillar trim and it did absolutely nothing correcting wise, so put it back on the shelf.

HD Speed still a great product

It does polish, but it's not an ideal polish. For example using a polish like M205 or whatever and then following by a sealant like DG 105 would yield superior results with the same amount of effort as using an AIO and then topping it. The gloss is from the silicone in it, as is most of the...

    Cermiac Pro Installer.

I'm pretty sure they have set prices for their packages which are much higher than those posted above. The detailer cannot give discounts or they risk losing their certification or whatever.

HD Speed still a great product

My point was that when using an AIO, and then topping it, you're better off using a dedicated polish and a dedicated sealant, both of which are better than any AIO I know of.

HD Speed still a great product

I'd argue, if you're going to top an AIO, then there's no point is using an AIO to begin with. Just use a polish and seal with whatever you like.

HD Speed still a great product

if you get more than a couple weeks durability, you're doing pretty well.

But how are you polishing it to perfection before the PPF?

    VW B-Pillars

An AIO isn't a good option if you plan on coating after polishing. I've found the BOSS finishing polish and yellow BOSS pads a good combo for the piano black trim. The iBrid with the small yellow Rupes pads that come with it are also good with the BOSS polish.

Customer says I caused holograms in coating? - Wants to sue me!

That's what I'm saying, referring to what Mike posted about a rotary leaving behind holograms on the coating, I don't see how that's possible. That would have to be one seriously tough coating to still be there.

Customer says I caused holograms in coating? - Wants to sue me!

Wouldn't using a rotary remove the coating anyway, so it's not holograms on the coating but the coating has been removed and is now showing the holograms? I'm not seeing how using a rotary would leave behind holograms on the coating and still have the coating intact.
