Try a more aggressive clay. There are 3 or 4 grades. Roger T

I have a Porter Cable 7424XP, a Meguiars MT300, and a Harbor Freight DA polishers. I removed the handles from all three because I can apply greater pressure straight onto the pad easier and is less tiring. Try it with and without a handle and see what you think. Hope this helps. Roger T

How much work/correction does your car's paint need? Can you show your wife roughness in the paint with the "baggie" test? Can you show her spider webbing or swirls in the paint? Maybe by correcting a small area, you can demonstrate how talented you are. I hope this helps. Roger T

Chromed aluminum wheels on a C7 Corvette............? My guess is you could get polished aluminum wheels with a clear coat. I have sealed mine with a paint sealer for durability. Clear coat is paint without pigment. Hope this helps. Roger T
