What LSP to use after Megs #7 and M80?

I will be working on an '82 Mercedes Benz, and I want to bring the poor oxidized paint back to life. I will be using Mike P's method of saturating the paint with Megs #7, then using M80 speed glaze by hand (too afraid to use my Flex...don't want to burn through the paint accidentally). I'm...

    Wooooh Megs #7

I'm interested in this project as well. I will be helping to bring the paint of an '82 Benz back to life, and I need to learn all I can about this. So after you use Megs #7, and M80 speed glaze, what kind of LSP will work on top of this combo? Just wondering about bonding issues and such...

For anyone that's good at troubleshooting stereo systems...

Thanks again, everyone. I think I need a new ground...but how to go about this? How do you troubleshoot where the ground has gone bad? Is this really a problem that is going to be too big of a hassle/expense to diagnose and fix? That's what I'm afraid of...

Yes, the pitch does change with acceleration. No, this didn't happen after any work. I really haven't gotten any work done on the car since I've owned it. Good question about the spark plug wires...I'll have to check them.

For anyone that's good at troubleshooting stereo systems...

Thanks guys! I had someone else say that this sounds like alternator whine to him too. So there is a ground in the engine bay? I have no idea where to find this. Do you guys have any idea? To be honest, I really don't have too much mechanical knowledge when it comes to cars, but I do know...

For anyone that's good at troubleshooting stereo systems...

Hey everyone, I just thought I'd post this problem, hoping that someone else may have experienced this and can help me figure out what's wrong with my stereo system. The car is a 2005 Acura TL with all factory components (to my knowledge). I bought the car used. When I bought the car, I...

    A Joke A Day

Here's a cheesy one... There were three fathers to be in a hospital waiting room, waiting for their babies to be born. The first nurse comes out and tells the first father, "Congratulations you're the father of twins!" He says, “Great! I am the manager for the Minnesota Twins.” The second...

    Duragloss 501 on clearcoat

Thanks Tim! So if I understand correctly, the 601 is like a curing agent where you don't have to wait like 24 hrs to apply the LSP after applying the sealant like you would with regular sealants like BFWD for example? And sorry to the OP if I seem like I'm hijacking your thread...I just seem...

    Duragloss 501 on clearcoat

I have a question about 501...if you use 501, can you go straight to DG 105, or do you have to put the 601 bonding agent in the equation somewhere? Does the 501 prep the surface enough to go straight to 105? TIA

    Muc-Off Performance Wheel Cleaner Impresses

Just wondering Nick, do you really need to use two products, the muc off for the wheels, and power clean for the tires? Or will the muc off clean thm both? I really like it when I don't have to use 2 different products to clean wheels + tires. It makes things much easier for me.

Polishing raised edges + mild polish

I have finished it, and it's so awesome and full of info! But it just keeps bringing up more questions for me, like this one that I started... ;)

Polishing raised edges + mild polish

Do you need to take extra precautions when polishing raised edges if you are using a mild polish like DG501, WG FG, M205, or Opt. Poli-seal, with, for example, a CCS white pad? Or will you still cut through the clear over a period of time if you don't take precautions?

    Best OTC cleaner/wax

Thanks Tim. Yes, you did remember right...I am in Charlotte. I have found DG products at Carquest in the past, and I'm actually close to West Marine off S. Tryon, so I'm going to look there also. :)

    Best OTC cleaner/wax

So my friends at work keep asking me about products, and most of the time they want an OTC product to use on their cars. So I'm looking for opinions on what you guys think the best OTC cleaner/wax is on the market. Thanks! :)

    Polish for a DD

Thanks everyone...I appreciate all the info. Just a bit scared to over-polish and really mess up our cars over a period of time. Here's a new question...if I use a non-abrasive cleaner/wax like Klasse AIO with the flex and a tangerine hydrotech pad or orange CCS pad, does the pad itself take...
