Thanks. There are a few tiny rock chips and finding the correct color is challenging. I have sent GM an email about this so maybe they can shed some light on it. As far as detailing goes what products can you put on these to enhance their appearance. Because of the textured paint I was thinking...
My truck came with OEM side steps. They are not quite black, All metal, and a rough finish. Other than just washing them what could I use to keep them looking new. Sorry about my wife in the pic. That's the only one that shows them well.
I was watching YouTube videos from a channel called Sweet Project Cars. This guy uses Mothers Mag & Aluminum polish all the time as a compound agent for paint before polishing and waxing. He seems to get good results and he is using a Dewalt rotary polisher. Anyone ever heard of using this stuff...
Lets say you did your test spot and decided blackfire one step was going to work great. You polish the entire car and find one small area that could some more aggressive correction.Could you switch the pad and product for that one area and then go over it with the one step?

I will say that even if I...

'm 66 years old and while I have kept my cars fairly clean over the years I decided to get more into paint correcting, polishing, and detailing. I'm not going into business just trying to learn for myself.
Getting started I read a...
That's why I asked on here. Every products YouTube video no matter what it is always shows it to be the next best thing. Then people start using it in the real world and the truth comes out either way.
I purchased a 2017 Chevy Colorado off lease. There are a few longer scratches that look like they might have been repaired with a touch up pen. I was thinking of wet sanding them and then buffing them out. Do you think I can make an improvement doing that or should I just leave them alone?
