    Tire Dressings?

I can't give feedback on any of the products you listed. The last premium brand dressing I used was Pinnacle Black Onyx, which for me was nothing special. I gave up on traditional dressings and use either Tuf Shine Black Restore (NOT their Tire Clear Coat), or Turtle Wax's Jet Black Endura...

Newbie in Car wax/snow-rain protection related doubt

    1. Generally speaking, sealant is more durable than wax. But there are some very durable waxes. 2. Using a cleaner-wax or an AIO like Klasse is not a substitute for clay; you should definitely clay before doing any kind of polishing. 3. How long will it last? There is no concrete answer. Some...

    Newbie: Looking for help!

It's not so much a different product, but a tool: you need a machine polisher to polish paint. Any of the polisher that AG sells will do the job. Along with the polisher, you would need a selection of pads. But maybe the 2015's paint is already defect-free. If it is, then perhaps try a...

    Newbie: Looking for help!

I've never worked on a GM vehicle, but I have heard they have very hard paint. That means that you probably will never be able to polish it by hand as well as possible ... and polishing is the foundation for the best possible shine. But I am totally guessing without larger pictures. One thing I...

Need help choosing the best product(s) to protect my new Jeep...

It would be thousands of dollars, but you could have all the painted surfaced wrapped in paint protection film.

Sorry for the new question on Cleaner Wax

They are not one and the same. Clay will only to remove above surface contaminants. Cleaner wax will do that too, but it will remove below surface stains and contaminants as well. Regardless, it is safer to clay before using a cleaner wax.

    Polishing BMW Shadowline Trim

Are you certain thy are painted, and not some other finish or material?

How much is distilled water in your area?

Maybe they haven't done the math and are selling it at below their cost. But I guess they probably don't sell much anyway.

    I need a buffer/polisher, what to get?

None of the machines sold here are simple wax applicators; they are professional polishers. Kind of like the different between a point-and-shoot pocket digital camera and a DSLR. I guess if you wanted a "name brand" wax applicator, Griot's Garage offers a lithium ion powered random orbital, so...

    I need a buffer/polisher, what to get?

"Best?" Heck, for just spreading wax, you could buy one of those traditional orbital buffers that your local Walmart, Sears, or auto parts store sells for $30.

    I need a buffer/polisher, what to get?

In theory, because the Flex is a forced rotation machine, it could be more dangerous. But that would only be the case if you were doing paint correction, or using a cleaner-wax. With a finishing wax that has no abrasives, you would have to do something pretty stupid to do damage. That said...

What pad/compound for glass cleaning and headlight polishing?

I use the yellow pad for windows. I don't use the blue because of its open cell structure; stuff just flies all over the place.

    Melted backing plate

I doubt it is the polisher that is getting hot and causing the bolt to melt, but the friction created by the pad against the paint; the heat is getting transferred up into the plate and mounting bolt. Running it at full tilt creates the most heat. A small pad heats up faster as well.

    Feedback on new video

I too would be very happy with the quality of his work. Like I said, if he polishes cars naked, that's his business. Just don't show that as how you do it. And he asks for feedback, which is what I tried to supply, hopefully in a respectful manner. When he [or his photographer]...

    Feedback on new video

That, in a way, is my point. A lawyer may have tattoos, but in a business environment they are concealed. So for a professional business video, it would be better that a business face is put on.

They spelled the word preparation incorrectly.

What color car to get: easiest to maintain

I'd say silver would be easier than white; white shows more dirt and stains.

    Another Polisher Request :)

The best, most easiest to use polisher is the one someone else is holding ... hire someone to do the work for you. I'm joking. But only a little. Polishing is hard work. The horizontal surfaces are easy enough, but doing the vertical panels is tiring.
