    Post Wash Product

With UQW, I noticed a difference in slickness, but not appearance. My vehicle is now coated, so I no longer use anything that would interfere with the coating.

    Help with stained trim

If it's plastic, I'd put plastic polish to it.

    Your favorite color vehicle.

When I was shopping for my Honda Element back in 2013, the first one I looked at was black. It was immaculate ... but I knew I didn't want black. The second and third one's I saw were black as well. I don't want the color everyone else has! I finally found the "perfect" example for me: a low...

    Post Wash Product

I've read a few of your older posts. I don't know the condition of the paint on your vehicle. Is it polished to near perfection? IMO, that's where the most gain is to be had. I used to use Ultimate Detailer and Quik Wax. While I think they are great products, I didn't think they added anything...

The link doesn't work, but wow.

    Souveran wax

I haven't used it, but I imagine it's more of a deepening than a darkening.

    Im trying to understand clearcoat

It matters because it determines what pads and/or polishes you need to use, and how long a polishing will take. A soft paint will correct easier and faster.

    AGO sell 4 oz bottles

Maybe you could call AG? But if they don't sell them, how about Amazon or eBay? I see plenty of listings for 4 oz. plastic or glass spray bottles in single or small quantities.

    hey guys

I trust you mean Windex and paper towels on the windows, not the paint. No big deal to me. I still use paper towels on the windows on the odd occasion. Welcome to AGO.

    pads

I have three/four pads each for compounding and polishing, but I have only polished out an entire car all in one-go, once. Usually I'll just polish out a section or two one day, another one or two another day, until I've completed the car. So normally I only need one or two. I use a single...

Help for a newcomer - first post

Thank you. I can't say I know anything about Acadia's and any yellowing issue, other than looking at some examples/posts doing a Google search. I had a Lexus with pearl white paint, and my mother currently has a pearl white Lexus as well. Never had any yellowing issues. Any light color can look...

    Flex - first time experience

Hmm, I've never heard of anyone describing buffer trails as beautiful. Can you explain what you mean? Other than the cheapo orbital buffer I had 15 years ago, the only machine polisher I've ever used is my Rupes Duetto. Yes, sometimes it stalls, but not very often. I change my technique a bit...

Help for a newcomer - first post

No. Almost all of those challenges apply only to single stage pure white paint. My Honda Element has a light pearl finish; "Omni Blue Pearl." Even everyday road grime is hard to see unless I'm really looking for it:

Detailing & other tips to keep kids from ruining car interior?

No children here, but I have a 70 lb. chow chow that I let destroy the leather of my Lexus ES. It was mostly my own fault, for not regularly cleaning the leather to keep it supple. My new (previously owned) vehicle has cloth seats, but I put on neoprene covers as insurance. I vacuum and wipe...

Help for a newcomer - first post

One of the forum's acronyms is DISO, or Dealer Installed Swirl Option. A bad wash can really scratch the heck outta paint. Thus it's better to not let them touch it. Fortunately for you, white is quite forgiving when it comes to swirls and scratches. They might be there, but they'll be very...

    Coatings?

My vehicle sits outside 24/7. While the weather here in the D.C. area isn't as winter harsh as NH, I chose to use CQUK for my first coating experience. I bought the kit last year, but didn't install it until February, when I had the opportunity to use a garage (in California!) for an extended...

Help for a newcomer - first post

Congrats on the new Acadia. Have you already taken possession of it, or is it on order? If you don't have it yet, the first thing would be to tell the dealer to NOT TOUCH IT. They must not wash it or anything else. If you already have the vehicle...

    Tire / Wheel Care

I cleaned mine deeply once, meaning I took the wheels off, did an iron and tar decontamination with T.R.I.X, then clayed, followed by a hand polishing and sealing with Meguiar's Ultimate products. For the tires, I cleaned them with Tuf Shine tire cleaner, and coated them with Turtle Wax Jet...
