    Engine detail

That You really can't be too safe. You don't want to throw a code. There are chemicals that mechanics use to spray into sensor plugs in case water gets in them. Might be good to have on tap if you plan to do this a lot.

    Embedded material in the paint.

I applied it on a totally dry surface It's over the entire car. Not a single panel unaffected. I'll post pictures tonight.

Can someone educate me on Iron-X?

http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/auto-detailing-101/70961-embedded-material-paint.html That's the thread I've started on the topic. I don't want to hijack this thread or start two trains of thought. Hop over and post and then i'll reply. Thanks!

    Embedded material in the paint.

Let me share my experience. I am currently "restoring" a 1997 30th Camaro. These cars are Arctic White and my particular example has 123K on it. The paint has been clayed but even after claying I can see the car is PEPPERED with small yellow/orange dots. Posting this problem led to suggestions...

Can someone educate me on Iron-X?

I think this is a valuable thread. Let me share my experience. I am currently "restoring" a 1997 30th Camaro. These cars are Arctic White and my particular example has 123K on it. The paint has been clayed but even after claying I can see the car is PEPPERED with small yellow/orange dots...

    Window streaks

I'd remove the door panel and clean both sides of the seal with a good degreaser (I use ZEP Citrus, does a good job at removing waxes/etc) really well. Those lines aren't coming from anything within the door (like a regulator or etc. unless the subi has a long piece of felt). I think that's...

    Embedded material in the paint.

It just dawned on me, could it take more than one application of 5-7 minutes or should it get everything in one go?

    Embedded material in the paint.

I'm sure there is but there sure is a LOT of yellow/orange on the paint. I'm expecting great results. I'll take plenty of Before and After's for everyone. I bought the Tar-X because my wife's car manages to hit ALL the bugs when driving and they're a pain to remove.

    Embedded material in the paint.

Alright, just ordered Iron-X/Tar-X combo and 5 fast glass towels. Hopefully this works! I'll pretreat some areas with TarX, wash the car with ZEP Citrus degreaser to strip all the wax, dry it, then apply Iron X and see what happens. Any other tips to get the most out of iron X? How much...

My Advice for Drying a Car

I use guzzler's to dry my car and often times wonder "what the heck, this thing isn't picking up any water" then I slow my hand movement and that helps some but I'll give this soaking method a try as I typically hit the car with spray wax and QD afterwards anyways. Blowers are nice for crevices.

SpeedFreak Detailed: McLaren MP4-12C full correction/Opti Coat

Of course there are those who won't take the pride in their job, as they should but these factory jobs are sought after even by those who drive by the factory everyday and are held to very strict standards. If they spend 12+ hours buffing a car/inspecting a car only to send it back when they...

SpeedFreak Detailed: McLaren MP4-12C full correction/Opti Coat

The car looks awesome and the painted calipers were a fantastic idea. Great work! However, this is what bothers me and maybe you can help me out. I know for a fact the MP4-12 will spend hours in a booth at the factory having every panel worked over so the paint is "perfect." These are Ron...

    Wheel Help

Using a foaming nozzle should help with any safety concerns. However, even with an atomizer I didn't notice anything terribly pungent.

    Wheel Help

let me know how that goes. I kept one of my wheel cleaner bottles and have since put the WB in it so i can get the foaming nozzle. Works well!
