honeydew ratio for gilmore foam gun

Glad to have stumbled upon this thread. I'm ordering a Gilmore and know my Mothers Carnauba car wash recomends 1/128 ratio. Which essentially means 3oz of soap and the rest water! What "setting" is that with though? C?

Wow, that looks fantastic. The factory paint has a ton of orange peel. My 5.0 looks great and feels good when its been treated but you can still see the orange peel. That GT500 looks great. Awesome job.

don't some people use the ZEP citrus as a wash to remove wax over an entire car that has wax but doesn't require clay to remove contaminants? Is it best to use citrus wash and clay anyways? I ask because I clayed and waxed the car about two months ago and don't want to clay it again before the...

Contemplating the switch to foam master...

Is there any other way?! Hah, thanks. Also, how do you measure your 1/128th? That's the proportions the mothers carnauba wax car wash requires for a foam gun.

How "Least Aggressive" Do You Get When Doing A Test Spot?

Is it bad to just start with the agreessive compound and aggressive pad? For instance, if I'm using mothers 08612 with an orange pad, then follow it with 08712 and a white pad, and finish with their synwax on a blue pad. Shouldn't that guarantee me results from my test spot or is the idea that...

Contemplating the switch to foam master...

I really like the idea of using a foam master, being able to presoak my car before washing it seems like a really great idea for removing lite dust. However, do you still wash your wheels prior to usng the foam and just allow the foam to be rinsed off? Also, do you foam the car, soak, rinse...

If you had to chose one brand...

love it! haha I really am the anomally here. I have been using strictly mothers on everything I touch thus far. Although, I have yet to polish/paint correct I plan to get going on that soon. My only disappointment so far with Mothers is they do not offer an all purpose cleaner. For engine...

If you had to chose one brand...

If you had to choose one brand to do it all, wheels to paint correction. What would it be? Polishers and pads can be of different brands but anything liquid must come from the same brand. For me, it's Mothers. They're relatively accesible and i've yet to be disappointed with my results thus...

Only 6,000 miles... can't be too bad, right? 2011 Camaro Convertible SS w/ Custom Paint

Looks like candy, love it. However, in the 50/50 shots of the black stripes, why does it look like the black still have nicks and imperfections? I see this all the time when someone corrects black paint. Any ideas?

Wheel cleaning from the soap bucket

When I wash it consists of using mothers wheel cleaner on the tires and wheels alongside their wheel brushes. I really want to be able to clean the barrells and was considering the Daytona brushes but ya'll recommend the wheel woolies? They look like more of a mop than a brush. How effective are...

Wheel cleaning from the soap bucket

I've always used tire cleaner and brushes to clean my wheels and tires prior to a wash but do some just use their wash bucket and no wheel cleaner? I bring this up because I'm look at the sample pictures for the Daytona brushes and the chemicals look soapy, not foamy. I could be reading too...

    The Guzzler

Huge fan of the guzzlers I got on BOGO. Took me a few times to realize they work best when using a slow arm movement. Gives the towel time to absorb. I've heard good things from other towels but these work so well!

Favorite Spray Wax .... How, Why, Uses ??

I like to use Mothers Spray Wax after I wash to help bolster my layer of wax already on the car. I'll sometimes follow that up with Mothers Instant Detailer as well. Do yall spray on and wipe off or let it sit like you would liquid or paste wax? I'm typically spraying on and wiping off...
