    I didn't mean to write a review!

I didn't mean to write a review. I got the new DP tire coating kit, but I didn't have time to coat tires today. So I just figured I'd do what I always do to the tires and wait till next month to try the coating. Well, things didn't go so well. After two cleanings with APC+ and a stiff brush...

Roger, What did you think of the DP cleaner? <TED>

    Length of a proper detail

It takes me at least that long for what you are doing (though I am a bit older than you). It would be hard to do a competent job any quicker. <TED>

Anyone else drive a diesel daily?

When I first got my 328d last Fall, we drove it to Florida to have Thanksgiving with my daughter. We got 47.5 mpg between my house in Delaware and somewhere in northern NC. (Heavy traffic through Washington DC too). We arrived at our hotel in Savannah with the computer reading 50.5. That...

    Power washers?

I had a Karcher 7 series. I used it very little. A month after the warranty ran out, the pump housing split. I went on line and found this was not at all unusual. I threw it away and bought a new one - made in Canada. So far, it works. <TED>

Anyone else drive a diesel daily?

Me too. I have a BMW 328d. I used to have the 335d but the 328 is really what I wanted - except I wanted it with a manual not automatic which is the only way you can buy one in the US... <TED>

*NEW* BLACKFIRE Crystal Coat Paint Coating!

That's the problem that I have with coatings. I find I have to polish the car more often than one would otherwise have to recoat the car. I coated my daughter's car for her last Summer. I just noticed that there are little scratches on her doors from parking lot encounters. I told her I would...

    Flex or Rupes

Most people talk about the smoothness of the Rupes and the forced rotation of the Flex. There is another benefit to the Rupes Perhaps the biggest reason that I went with the Rupes is that you don't need to maintain downward pressure on the machine to get the desired effect. The reduced effort...

    Feel dumb asking but....

I agree. Good tape is critical. I have found the blue tape sometimes leaves something behind which is not good either. I'm really sold on the 233 - though I will confess to having used Frog Tape successfully. <TED>

    Hello from Philly

I know what you mean! I'm just South of you in Delaware! At this season the best you can do is rinseless wash and spray wax. Come March you can do it up right... Best, <TED>

headlight sealants that actually last longer then 1 year?

I can't give personal experience for over a year since the product has only been out about a year and I did my first headlights with it about 8 months ago. But I have been using Pinnacle Black Label Surface Coating on headlights and taillights and so far it has been perfect. PBL Surface...

Griot's Garage DA vibration too much, now what?

I bought the Rupes (15) in part because it is smooth! Yes, it really is. Moreover, you don't need to give it pressure even when compounding. (Watch Mike Phillips' video specific to the Rupes.) Now it is a bit pricey, and it takes a bit of practice to get the skill set down (on curved...

Pinnacle Black Label Coating Experience after 7 months

While it's not a lot, we get about 50" a year. A lot of times it comes as ice (freezing rain or ice pellets). I am in sort of a "tweener" state. They use a lot of salt and sand here and over the PA border they use cinders a lot... <TED>

Thinking about trading in the CR-Z for a Fiat 500 Abarth, thoughts?

Actually, the damage from the deer was remarkably small. (it was an incredible scene. I was inundated by 4 deer who were running away from cars on the other side of the road -- all fenced in property and drives over there. The lead deer came across the road right in front of me to go into a...

Pinnacle Black Label Coating Experience after 7 months

Yeah, I have the booster. It's too cold to use it now, but I intend to use it this Spring. I'll be using it on my wife's car at that time too. (I coated her car with PBL Paint Coating when she bought it in September). What I am hoping for is about 2 years service with one of these coatings...

Pinnacle Black Label Coating Experience after 7 months

Yeah, she was living and working in FL. Then she got a job in Bahrain - working remotely! Living at home is mountains cheaper for her and she is a saver. She's only 23, but she has been saving and investing seriously since she was 18. She really takes saving for retirement seriously! Yeah...

Thinking about trading in the CR-Z for a Fiat 500 Abarth, thoughts?

Did you get this on the group buy on the Fiat 500 Forum at $799? I have to tell you, my wife says you are a bad influence on me<g>! Please let me know how much work it is to install when you get around to installing it... One other point of interest. My Abarth got hit by a deer and needed...

Question about applying Klasse High Gloss Sealant Glaze to a Jeep Cherokee

That's true! I used to use Klasse, but it is harder to use than some of the newer products. Right now, Black Fire is my favorite on my white cars. However, I have started to use coatings on my family's cars and I am rapidly becoming a fan! <TED>
