    Plasti Dip Care

I agree that it is pretty resiliant. After cleaning try a tire dressing and see what happens (super shine!). The tire coating may not last long depends on the coating.

Too cold to wax a car?

Best bet is to follow the recommendations on the product. Usually it says wait until hazes, so in cold that will be longer.

Need Help With Polished Aluminum Rims

Metal polishing is different than paint. You need to use buffing wheels and metal compounds. In this case a tripoli compound on a sisal wheel will get rid of most. Then move to a cotton wheel and a jeweller polish to bring up the gloss. Finish with a polish (AG carries a bunch that work well)...

    mini Optimum Gloss-Coat review

I did my Grand Prix and used about 10cc. I think it was Dec 2014 and so far really happy. Car still shines better than it ever did with OPC 2.0 and feels slicker too. I recently started using wax as LSP just cause I like to-but really the coating is all you need (car is daily driver 2001).

    flash brown royal wheel cleaner

I use Brown Royal all the time. It is very good on brake dust. It also does wonders on the barrels (which I tend to miss doing like I should. The only thing I have had a problem with were my uncoated alloy rims. When I stripped off the clear coat and applied Brown Royal (straight stuff no...

What happened to the PERMANON line

I still have lots and will continue to use it on my wheels. Just did them today and I am still amazed how easy it was to apply. If it is no longer available then I'm lucky I have enough to keep fixed for awhile (bye the bye as we say in Canada I met the Canadian Distributor and even he said the...

Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine

Been using the Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine (the blue one) all winter up here in Southern Ontario. We use salt and beet juice to keep the roads free from freezing and I don't know of anything harder to remove. I can't spray water in my garage as I have no drain. One time I tried and the garage...

Need help with fixing paint oxidation

If you see colour on the pad you have gone through the clear and into the base. No fix for this except repaint. Factory clear is roughly 1/3 of the total thickness (primer, colour coat, clear) so you know what you are working with. As always a test spot would tell how far you can go before no return.

    can opti-coat be applied here..

Opti-Coat worked on my Grand Prix but the parts were very hard black plastic so natural habitat for the Opti-Coat (just make sure they are a shiny as you want them without any sealants on the surface) If the piece you are pointing to is more of a rubber (rather than plastic) then Forever Black...

    Sealant/Prep recommendation

The best part of OC2 is that it will preserve whatever finish is acheived in the prep stage. In your case if the "nice and shiny"paint is as good as it's going to get then OC2 will "freeze" it at that point. Once cured the OC2 will not accept wax or glaze as it's main quality is "nothing...

    Sealant/Prep recommendation

I am in the process of applying Opti-Coat 2.0 to correct the same problems you mention. The Opti-Coat 2.0 (OC2 for short) is a permanent coating that acts like a second clearcoat. The key is to throughly prepare the paint surfaces before you seal it (same as painting-you only clear coat if...
