Snow Joe Telescoping Snow Broom In Action!

I got a SnowJoe for Christmas and I love it. Makes clearing the truck quick and much easier than my old snow brush. I had the same problem with the pole getting locked in place. I found that if when I extended the pole, and then pushed it in an inch or so, I could tighten the pole in place...

    It's -11 degrees......

The house stays between 60-65. The gas company came over the other day to read the meter so I'm sure I'm in for a good bill this week from them.

    It's -11 degrees......

And it's 4 outside right now. Sunny today, mid teens to get us ready for 3-6 more inches tomorrow afternoon.

    It's -11 degrees......

Lake Erie is completely frozen over. I don't think we'll have much of a spring with all the cold air blowing off the lake. I'm not sure about Lake Ontario but it's probably close to the same. I'm betting on snow in June this year. A spring clean could turn into mid summer.

    It's -11 degrees......

I'm glad that I'm not alone but at least we can all suffer together. We just set the record for the coldest February ever and I think there's more snow coming over the weekend. I finally got the truck clean a couple of days ago but that lasted until I went to work the next day. Oh well. It's...

    It's -11 degrees......

I think I posted this in the wrong forum. Meant to put it in Off Topic. Can one of the mods please move it?

    It's -11 degrees......

I think the thread title says it all. I'm sick of this winter. The daily shoveling, how cold it's been. I can't remember the last time either of the cars were clean, let alone free of ice and snow. And I'm pretty sure with the 2 1/2 feet of snow on the ground my yard is going to be a swamp...

    Road Salt

The coin op wash is also an option. Like the other two posters, I've done both depending on weather and time. As soon as it's warm enough, I'll get the hose out and start flushing everything out. Then I wash the vehicle a couple of time. Winter sucks. But start with good protection and you...

    Sick of Sensationalized News/Weather

Like the 7 feet that Buffalo got in November that was supposed to be 15 inches! That week sucked.

Wax In Northeast Winter: How Long Will It Last?

I've got 2 coats of 845 over Powerlock. Had it on since early October and it's still beading well. I try to get to a rinseless done once a week or so. If it's warm enough (over 32F) I'll top it off with OCW since winter is so long here, but I haven't had a chance to do that yet this year...

    Iron X questions

BUMP! Great thread but how much IronX do you need/use for a vehicle? I'm planning on using it on my wife's Altima and my Sierra this spring. Would a 500ml bottle be enough or should I get the 1 liter?

    ONR towels

I got a few a these for rinseless but didn't like the long nap. They felt like they grabbed the paint instead of wiping it. They are great for removing LSP and final wipedowns

Ultima Waterless Wash Plus - Where have you been?

So how about a review for the Whips salt remover? There's a lot of salt here in Buffalo right now

    Drying question

    In my experience, no.

    Arrgh Not so touchless

Time for rinseless in the garage. I know your pain as I look at the truck covered in salt right now

Keeping hands warm this winter while detailing

I got a pair of neoprene gloves with a long cuff at Home Depot for $5. I roll a little cuff at the end so any water that rolls down won't go down my sleeve as well. I did a ONR wash today in the garage and didn't have any problems. It's 11 degrees here today.

    Hi everyone

Hi, I'm Justin from Buffalo, NY. I've been detailing for almost 20 years now, mostly as a hobby but also did some dealership work. This forum has been a great source of information for me and helps keep my truck, the wife's car, and my parents cars in great shape. I'm not sure what took me so...
