Dodo Juice Giveaway - Story Time!

My passion for cars started after we rented a car on a vacation to Florida. I thought it was so cool to have a different car and kept pushing for my parents to get a new one. Before I was able to influence my dad into buying cars more frequently, we could keep them for years and years until it...

    Liquid vs Paste

Good suggestion on the Dodo! Read up on them a little and I think I'm going to get the Blue Velvet Pro Hard and top it with Purple Haze Pro Soft. Even if it doesnt come as good as the souveran how would I know being that I never tried it! I'm sure it will turn out incredible anyways...

    Liquid vs Paste

I know the Collinite is great for durability so I'm going to get some of that before I go back to school and protect it with that but before that for the summer I want a wax to really make it pop. I think I'd spend up to $50 on a good wax to really make the color pop. Ill spend the difference on...

Sorry if this is someone where else in this section... I didnt see it with a quick look. A few options...

Okay that makes sense because I did read that but didn't know the finishing glaze wasn't really a glaze. I just didn't know what order to use 2 and 4 in. Thanks!

    A few options...

Thanks I guess that makes sense since 1-3 is a process and 4 would just be to enhance gloss and I already have a glaze going on before the sealant. I just didn't know it was okay to top a sealant with a glaze without doing any harm but I will wait overnight to do so!

Here are some close up photos. I dont know how to really take a good photo of these types of things. I dont think swirls were even visible from these photos but when you look close up you can see them. You can see some water spots, I think most came from the last wash in the sun  Should...

Its a 2011 Jetta (black) the sun just came out ill get pictures of what I want to correct. It isnt much at all so it shouldnt take much. I know it will be hard to determine which pads to use before actually getting to work but I dont think I will need very intense pads.

Has anyone used Wolfgang vinyl and rubber protectant? Seems like it is along the same lines as a mothers vlr or meguiars quik interior. Think I might try that...

    Product Comparison

Thats a good point. I dont remember what products they actually sell at a pepboys- I'm sure not the highest end, but its good to know if I found something decent it could produce good results. I only detail as a hobby, maybe do a few family/ friends cars from time to time. Generally I only...

    Product Comparison

I'm mainly looking at polishers/scratch removers and wax/sealants. I found it interesting to see so many people using meguiars which is what sparked my interest to ask this question. Being a college student, I'd love to get high end results with a meguiars/ mothers product price, but if there...

    Product Comparison

For the last year, I have been using Ultima Car Care products. I love the results they achieved (by hand) and how easy to apply they are. My question is, what is everyone's opinion on products like Meguiars or Mothers versus Pinnacle or Wolfgang. Is the extra price for the higher end...

    Rubber Mat Cleaning

Ive never had a problem with spotting and this may sound rediculous, but all I have ever used was some dry tide laundry detergent sprinkled on the mat then scrubbed with a brush. I just lay them flat in the garage to dry and they come good as new.

    Leatherette protectant

Thanks for the suggestions. So general consensus: it's okay to use a leather product for fake leather/ leatherette? I just don't want it to react a way that wouldnt be good.
