Looking for a good detailing bag for a Griots G9

Not sure how long the G9 is and I don't have access to mine right now. I like the Bucket Boss Gatemouth bags. I used a Gatemouth 16 for my Porter Cable 7424XP set up. I want some room for pads (in ziploc baggies), my product, some microfiber and the G9. This was my setup previously...

Griots G9: Griots 5" backing plate vs the one Autogeek includes (yellow one)

I bought the G9 BlackFire One Step kit. It includes a 5" yellow backing plate they say is what BMW and MB says is the best ever. However; the Griot's 5" backing plate has vents for cooling. The 5" yellow feels very similar to my 6" Griot's plate. Should I just buy the Griots? Thanks Å

Rate my restart into detailing our 2 cars.

I was not sure if white would be enough either. I never used an AIO (Used to Meg's multi step professional line up). I haven't used the Ultimate Compound on paint yet, but I may give it a go. I just picked up 6 orange and 6 black pads.

Rate my restart into detailing our 2 cars.

My son just got his first car, 1995 Accord LX Sedan. Only 89k miles. Has lots of mods and he loves it. Interior is 1/2 way through an Ivory to Black conversion. I am trying to help him (picked up the dealer installed black leather kit for him). We will probably have to respray alot of the...

Forum Nicknames - I still don't get it?

Stalkers and a lot of things. Forums are easy to search. That said I have been Alkemyst since the late 90's. Been online through X.25 since 1983. Also that said I may as well use my real name since with that long of history I can be found. For me I like Alkemyst though.

Need to replace a lot of detailing gear lost. Best bang for buck for just personal cars.

Still not allowed. That part is complicated. It's like a restraining order in a way. You can't have someone else do what you want done. She claims she is indigent and has no source of income. I have tried to bring cases to the court, it's too expensive. There is a lot more to this whole...

Need to replace a lot of detailing gear lost. Best bang for buck for just personal cars.

There is an agreement (from over 2 years ago now) that I will let her stay in my house until she can find another accommodation which she was supposed to work on. Then COVID came and now she is claiming she can't move. The agreement states I am to not come on premises. The kicker is is my...

Need to replace a lot of detailing gear lost. Best bang for buck for just personal cars.

got to contemplate dropping $450 for a machine I probably won't use and my son only will. any good bang for bucks in the $200ish range...like the Griot G9? Especially if a rotary should be included. I have read though the Flex tools can replace the need for that. That said I may just pull...

Need to replace a lot of detailing gear lost. Best bang for buck for just personal cars.

Thanks for the reply, I will look into that. I see a lot of recommendations for the Rupes pads lately. I haven't used a 1 step yet really, but I trust your recommendations. This would not be for a business just for my son and I (unless my son gets that desire, I did detailing as a teen since...

Need to replace a lot of detailing gear lost. Best bang for buck for just personal cars.

Long story short, I have a ton of detailing gear in a house that my ex will not leave and COVID is not helping that. That said my main tool was the Porter Cable 7424XP which I was already looking to upgrade from at that time. My son just bought his first car and it needs a detail. It probably...

2006 BMW M3 38,000 miles, mostly lived indoors.

I am ready to restore the outside of my M3. It lived mostly in a garage in NYC until 25k miles this past January. It had a bit of 'roughness' to the surface and the typical front end blems. I have a dr. color chip kit and Meg's #83, 80, 5, 7, 9, Gold Class Wax. #21. Last Touch, 135, etc...
