    Mixing SIP with PO106FF?

Here's the info that I got somewhere else: if you mix the product 70/30 SIP/106fa you will have liquid that will perform on par (equal to) PO203s Power Finish. True assumption?

    Mixing SIP with PO106FF?

If I need a 1-step, then I should stick to SIP? I was expecting the mix of SIP to give maybe 30% more cut to PO106FF without affecting its jeweling property.

    Mixing SIP with PO106FF?

Hey fellow detailers :props: I'm not quite satisfied with the cut of PO106FF, but I like the way it finishes. For a 1-step polish on a dark colored car, would adding some SIP to PO106FF slightly increase the cut while still giving a nice deep finish? Or if I should stick to one single Menzerna...

    Colli 845, cleaners, and layering

Hello, I was wondering what was the best layering strategy with regards to Colli 845. I really like to get the best of each product, but I'm worried that 845 contains cleaners that would prevent me from doing so. For example, would it be possible to layer: -1x Klasse SG, waiting 24 hours -1x...

Kevin Brown method and ONR mist?

Dear fellow detailers, Please note that: 1) I'm not pretending this will improve the KB method 2) I'm not a pro This is a simple question. While testing the KB method, after the typical 3-drops + pressure step, I found that spraying a tiny bit of diluted ONR on the panel to keep working it...

    Engine shampoo vs liability

No need to tell you that I'll start steam cleaning from now on. I don't like this incertitude, even if this wasn't caused by me there's still a correlation that is perceptible by this customer... I spent a lot of overtime to make his car 100% perfect, but he'll remember the engine issue instead...

    Engine shampoo vs liability

He doesn't know yet. The engine went in safe mode and no throttle response. Could be the Throttle Position Sensor for which there were some recalls on these Mustangs. Considering that: - I took all imaginable precautions - A sensor can go bad anytime on a 6 years old car - These sensors are...

    Engine shampoo vs liability

PS.: the customer specifically said that he wasn't accusing me and wasn't expecting any reimbursement, but I'm asking here to see if I should actually pay part of the repair or not.

    Engine shampoo vs liability

Hey fellow detailers. :buffing: I offer engine shampoos to all my customers for no additional cost as part of 2-step polishes or compound packages. I cover all electrical components and ensure the engine isn't hot prior to washing. I only use fire hose nozzles to ensure there's no pressure at...

    what makes you different

I always do overtime on the cars. I first fix a range and then work until I'm fully satisfied. This sometimes require 4-5 hours of overtime out of 16-18 hours, but when the customer does a final inspection and finds out that I didn't stop working until I was fully satisfied (ie not for money)...

Whats your top waxes for red, black, and silver??

Black and red: Jetseal 109 or Wolfgang 3.0 followed by Souveran Now about silver... I have many LSPs in my arsenal: Fuzion, Souveran, Natty's, P21S, Colli, Wolfgang 3.0, Jetseal 109, EX-P, etc... But for some reason, on silver, I always go back to the good old Klasse SG + M16. Silver requires...

A Guessing Game: Is this car wearing wax or sealant?

Hehehehe yes. :props: But we aren't on the same page as far as good sealants protecting against swirls; not 100%, but enough to see a difference.

A Guessing Game: Is this car wearing wax or sealant?

I agree. Some tips that I've learned from the past... 1) Tell them that if they apply the techniques, next time it'll cost them 33% less because you can skip 1 step 2) I give, for free, ~20oz of ONR to all my customers and ask them to add it to each bucket even if it's a regular wash. It does...

A Guessing Game: Is this car wearing wax or sealant?

Lol it's not like a clear bra or something, but it'll greatly reduce them. You should also teach the proper washing techniques as I do for all my customers.

A Guessing Game: Is this car wearing wax or sealant?

It's more the opposite... I wasn't surprised at all when I read your answer about this finish being LSP-free. A wax/sealant applied on a perfectly polished surface, unless you put manyyyyy layers, won't improve the finish. On the other hand, it WILL protect against swirl-inducing contacts. I'm...

A Guessing Game: Is this car wearing wax or sealant?

Lol. :nomore: Do the test yourself... Strip any LSP from your car, polish the hell out of it, do a 50/50 shot comparing an unprotected area with let's say 3 layers of Klasse SG. Keep us updated 3-4 months later!

    Gotta love flake

Thanks guys. :buffing: :props: It took me 16-17 hours. :work: :( Yes exactly. The Flex 3401 is a wonderful machine. I couldn't agree more. It takes ~30 minutes to tape/protect the complete car, but it prevents burns and if previously washed properly I save at least 1 hours of final cleanup.
