They seem to have a thin piece of foam in the middle, maybe 3/16" thick. I haven't tried mine yet (what else is new). Expensive though. Unless of course you catch the right sale as Uncbrs suggests.

You never hear about anyone buying a PC in today's environment. I kind of wish I had some of those thin foam pads, but I usually only use my PC with 4" pads for headlights and certain tight spaces, and I do have a bunch of larger microfiber pads, which always worked decently on a PC.

As far as I can tell, they don't make the ThinPro pads anymore.

Hm...that seems to be around the time that rotary mowers became popular, so perhaps it was just a Beta-vs-VHS thing, that we went with the bar blades here. It occurred to me this morning that Stihl has a blade attachment like this for their string trimmers.

Not to nit-pick, but it seems to me there's supposed to be a cover on there, you can see the threaded holes in the casting around the perimeter.

I don't watch a lot of Apex's stuff, so I didn't know anything about a son, but after he mentioned his son taking over the business, I scrolled back through the videos and found one with apparently his son Brian and grandson Brian. Perhaps it was the grandson who wasn't particularly interested?

Anyway, the last video I watched was Apex's trim restorer comparison from this morning. One of these years I'll have to get some Solution Finish.

Is that right? I thought he said his son was taking over the detailing business...I didn't interpret that to mean his (Blue Collar) product line. He said he had been made an "offer he couldn't refuse" and that he was spread too thin, so he took the offer. He said something about not knowing...
