    May 2025 FuelFed Barrington C&C

Never heard of that, I was wondering if it was a kit car or something. I mean the Marcos, not your die cast. Oh, looking it up on Wikipedia, I guess it was for a while. Sounds a bit like Avanti, where it went out of business and was resurrected a few times. That pictured one was apparently...

    Microfibers are super linty.

You think Rags to Riches will help with your linting problem? I'm kind of skeptical that changing detergent will help that, but let us know. I'm in the same boat as you and a long way from trying Rags to Riches because I have a gallon and a half of other wash to use up.

What are these marks from? Suggestions to remove them please?

+1. Is it possible the scratches were there before and you didn't notice them until you glossed up the rest of the surface? I think that happened to me on one of my cars, years ago, when I first got into machine polishing.

Glass Glue? - How to remove

I hate to bring this up, but in the old days Lexus used to apply a coating to the driver's window, I guess to sheet the water for better visibility. We used to talk about it a lot over on Autopia, back in the day. Are you sure that isn't what you are seeing?

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

That makes perfect sense, I just connected two apparently unrelated events.

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Thank you. EDIT: I was just reading the description on that towel, funny it's kind of like an Autofiber one-sided twist weave that I have (in concept, anyway), one texture to clean, one to dry. AF has another towel like that now, the Amphibian or something? Or Inside-Out...something.

Oh, I really thought that was Karl and Klasse's dust storm, continuing east.

Griots G9 stopped on me part way through polish :(

I guess Griot's got bit by that policy...it kind of reminds me of Sears and the Craftsman policy, where it was great for a long time, and then people started buying broken tools at flea markets and bringing them in to the store for a replacement. I forget what the policy change was that Sear...

    Microfibers are super linty.

This may seem counter-intuitive, but is the lint roller loosening the fibers? I always put mine in the dryer, but I have toned down the heat from what I used to do. I know there is a member on Autopia who says that when his towels get old they start shedding more; I haven't experienced that...

What kind of towel is that, MisterSnoop?

Are we still using WG Exterior Trim Sealant?

Yes...great stuff and a bottle lasts forever.

The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

Oh man, in '82 my sights were set on a GTI. One of those years around there it was the quickest car for sale in the US, IIRC...about 10 seconds zero-60. Those were some tough times.

    Wheel Cleaning Help

On the "family car"? I guess it could be, but it could also be a GM "high-polish clear". Looks an awful lot like a 2008 CTS wheel to me https://www.edmunds.com/cadillac/cts/2008/review/

    TWHS flex wax discontinued.

Um...wasn't this the whole Autogeek business model? Every week there was either a sale or free shipping. You felt like a fool if you bought anything when there wasn't a sale going on. All I'm saying is DI is far from the only one who does this.

    Wheel Cleaning Help

Isn't that a clearcoated wheel? Why are you guys suggesting abrasive products like steel wool and Barkeeper's Friend? IMO he should be using a paint polish.
