I've only used their CCS 6.5 pads because I really like them. Never had any problems with them including having the velcro backing come off. Lake Country makes some great pads.

CCS or Flat pads for a noob?

I've been using only CCS pads and really like them. In fact I ordered another pack of 6 the other day. I am using them on a Flex however.

    what pads does everyone like?

I like the 6.5" CCS pads for my Flex. I haven't used any other type of pad because I've had great results with the CCS. They also hold up really well and I haven't had any issues with the velcro peeling off, etc. Just my 2 cents!

    Help Requested: '94 Buick Century

Hey guys, I need some help. I've been requested to detail a 1994 Buick Century that's been garage kept for the majority of its life. I've tried to do a little research but can't find any information on its paint system. Is this single stage paint? There doesn't seem to be any oxidation but...

    Meg Twins vs. Menz SIP/106FA

There's the thing, I envision detailing only one or two cars per weekend as a part-time type thing (in the process of starting up the business). It'll never become a main source of income because I think that will be what takes out the element of fun and stress-relief for me. As of now I'm...

    Meg Twins vs. Menz SIP/106FA

I'm assuming you've used all of these products. Which would you say is easier to use and which have more tendency to cause dusting?

    Meg Twins vs. Menz SIP/106FA

I'm looking to add a few polishes to my arsenal as I currently only have some Meguiars polishes that are better suited for single stage paint. I'm torn between the Meg twins and Menz SIP & 106FA. I see good things said about both combinations but I haven't seen a comparision between the two, so...

Haha, that makes complete sense AND on top of that I remember reading that article when you published it. It just didn't retain in my head... Thanks Mike!

How to correctly fold and use a Microfiber Towel

Thanks Mike, this is another informative post. I'm guilty of using two incorrect techniques in the past mentioned above; the wad and laying the towel flat on a surface. But since I've found AG a few months ago I've adopted many new techniques including folding MF towels as you just described...

How do I know if I need a compound polish?

It is possible that the light patch you are seeing is the lack of clearcoat. It seems you polish your car quite frequently and depending on how much clear coat you took off each time and how much you had to begin with it might be possible you've "burned" through to the paint in that spot. If you...
