First we need to know about your car and it`s age, color, condition of paint, these things will require different processes, equipment and materials. Do you have buffers or are you doing this by hand?

I believe it`s a waste of time to clay if your paint needs a lot of correction. Compounding cuts and removes paint. Prepares paint for polishing. Compounding then polishing then sealer/wax

If you can`t tell when you need to re wax your car just apply a wax every 3 months and in between use a good liquid spray wax every couple weeks and a liquid detailer when the car is just dusty. Both will keep the paint up until you re wax.

Megs UL. polish depends on the pad you use to apply. A more aggressive foam pad will handle more paint damage, a less aggressive foam pad will handle less. I`m assuming you have a buffer?

Would a diluted amount fo Megs APC maybe 5 to 1 or so be good to stripe wax and sealant from the car. I know many like Dawn but is APC a good chioce or is it to strong?

I guess if I was going to do all that you are going to do, why wouldn`t you do a IPA wipedown. It takes little time to be sure you have a clean base to work from. What strength would you use?

Has anyone used this nanoskin sponge and does it do the job as well as clay? It would be nice if it`s a alternative to clay because more than once I dropped clay and had to trash it, of coarse it needs to get the job done.

Dawn darn near takes everything off. It works because dish washing cleaners are extremely good at breaking down oils quickly, they`ll get your paint squeaky clean. Jim
