Yes all cars have orange peel. I have now purchased 69 new cars starting in the 60`s, for myself and my wife and I can say not one single car was without OP. Anyone use Microfiber towels from Dollar General

IMO....All this talk about everyone has to have these expensive microfiber towels is getting close to paranoia is I see it. I`ve been around from the 60`s with cars and shows. The cars today don`t look any better at the shows, than they did back then. In those days everyone just used terry's...

Tips to care my car itself

First we need to know about your car and it`s age, color, condition of paint, these things will require different processes, equipment and materials. Do you have buffers or are you doing this by hand?

What if I did compound and no clay?

I believe it`s a waste of time to clay if your paint needs a lot of correction. Compounding cuts and removes paint. Prepares paint for polishing. Compounding then polishing then sealer/wax

    When to re-apply wax

If you can`t tell when you need to re wax your car just apply a wax every 3 months and in between use a good liquid spray wax every couple weeks and a liquid detailer when the car is just dusty. Both will keep the paint up until you re wax.

What if I did compound and no clay?

You`re the only one that can tell if you damaged the paint. Before compounding or polishing you needed to view the videos on this sight for help on how to do it. Clay is not needed if you compound or polish, clay is just a surface cleaner product and since you have compounded it you don`t need...

    Meg's ultimate polish

Megs UL. polish depends on the pad you use to apply. A more aggressive foam pad will handle more paint damage, a less aggressive foam pad will handle less. I`m assuming you have a buffer?

    Washing with Dawn

Well I read all threads and I now believe Dawn will not remove any waxes or sealants So even the experts that have posted here say their isn`t any liquid that does the job. So I guess, if I want to be sure to get all the old wax/ sealant off I`ll need to clay and polish it off. I have my...

I guess if I was going to do all that you are going to do, why wouldn`t you do a IPA wipedown. It takes little time to be sure you have a clean base to work from. What strength would you use?

Has anyone used this nanoskin sponge and does it do the job as well as clay? It would be nice if it`s a alternative to clay because more than once I dropped clay and had to trash it, of coarse it needs to get the job done.
