    new car polish

I used Collinite 845 but in as much as it`s long lasting it isn`t very shinny. so I was thinking Menzurna Power Lock sealant. I was going to use 85rd but backed out from ordering it, why I don`t know I`m guessing the Men 4500 and the Powr lock would make a good combo.

    new car polish

I have 2 new cars White pearl and light silver, Honda Accords, with no paint defects at all. All I want to do is bring the gloss up. I`m looking for a polish that can be used in steps that is not aggressive at the beginning in other words a ultra fine finishing polish that doesn`t require a...

You know I`m not comfortable with the idea of polish removing to much clear on my brand new cars. I would lose it thinking about sand paper. Thanks for the reply but I`ll have to crawl before walking with these things.

    Thoughts on Meguiar's D156...

Well I can`t seem to get other things right the one thing I did was using the USW and now the D156 which is the same. I buy it by the giant economy size now, it`s the only thing that sticks, in my detail cabinet that is.:xyxthumbs:

    The cruel reality

Really, what do you think will be different? I assumed from reading the threads that 845 was very good. Am I missing something?

    The cruel reality

Well this morning I got up to looked at my newly finished Collinite 845 car. Yesterday when I did my car it looked terrific as it does now but my wife was out for the day and returned last night. Her car I finished with just NXT2.0 about 1 1/2/2 mts. ago [ she has the exact car I have, only...

Hum I never thought of a glaze. You may be right. Years ago my Mercedes I used to use Megs Show car glaze and then Hi Tec yellow wax #26 and the car turned heads, well part was it was lots of AMG parts but the paint looked perfect.

    Collinite 845 finished

You know I have no idea because this is the first time using a wax on top. In the past I`ve just used NXT2.0 and re-applied it about every 3 months. It looks good but I`d like to hear also.

    Collinite 845 finished

Thanks, it did work very well, the car looks very good. I may be changing in 4 months because I`m going to polish the cars [ never used polish before ] and may not use a sealer under the Collinite and see how it works. But as far as wax Collinite is the one

    Collinite 845 finished

Thanks for the reply. Actually I waited longer for the dry time because I broke my ankle a few weeks back and needed some rest between haha it was a good excuse to take a long break between applications. You know I`ve been using these $1 Microfiber towels for many years now and until coming...

    Collinite 845 finished

Frankly it doesn't matter if Collinite 845 lasts more than 4 months because my schedule is to completely strip my cars and redu them every 4 months no matter what I use. i`ll maintain in between with Megs 156 spray wax. and 135 detailer. Regarding NXT/NXT2.0 I`ve used it ever since it came...

    Collinite 845 finished

I do expect everyone to have their opinions, as they should. I`ve been using NXT2.0 only and it dulled down a little early so the Collonite 845 was key in bringing the look up and hopefully it will last for 4 months with my Megs 156 x-press spray wax used weekly. Anyway the next time I do this...

Meguiars NXT 2.0 a cleaner wax?

Well I was using when it was Nxt and I`m using NXT2.0 now as a undercoat sealer. NXT2.0 has some cleaning properties in it but they are not "abrasives they are chemical" So it will clean a bit but the process isn`t abrasive.

    Collinite 845 finished

Well I just finished my new car with two products nxt2.0 as the sealer and Collinite 845 as the wax. I must say it looks fabulous. Couldn`t be happier. I did everything by the book. I washed in Dawn 2 times. I put on the NXT 2.0 and waited one hour to dry and buffed it off with my $1...
