I have 12 ceilings in the garage so floresent tubes do a great job lighting everything and the electric bill is cheap to run them.

Meguiar's Back to Black on White Paint

I would look for the least aggressive polish and hand apply, in a small area you will find if it gets removed or if you need to be more aggressive with a more aggressive polish or into a compound. It may be best to go to a detailers shop or body shop where they can test a area to see what works.

    best glossy tire dressing

Megs Endurance it doesn`t sling if it has a chance to dry. but all this stuff gets on th floor and in the winter with snow pulling into the garage can be dangerously slippery

    { Pet Peeve's } Detailing

Not enough room, I have a 3 car garage but there still isn`t enough. I need to get rollups for water hose and electric hose that I can install in the ceiling that would help. I wouldn`t be tripping over everything and getting them caught under the tires. It would be nice to have a big sink...

Those of you with bad backs, do you have a preferred DA?

Well I have a bad back and shoulder. I built a seat with rollers. I through out a office chair but kept the whole 5 leged roller assembly and built a seat, it works perfect for all the vertical surfaces. For horizontal surfaces I use a old weightlifting belt that keeps my back straight, it...

    Polish

Well after looking into DuraGloss 601 as you say it acts like a glue between paint and "polymer paint sealant" but I`m going to use Collinite 845 it isn`t a polimer it`s a liquid "Carnauba Wax"? So I guess I wouldn`t be using the 601?

Sorry for another Post guys, just a quick question

I spent months researching for the correct wax and in the end Collinite 845 was the answer. Now I`m finishing up on researching a finishing polish for the best finish on my 2 new cars and have had good replies from knowledgeable here. But as far as wax, it`s hard to beat 845 for durability and...

    Should I Avoid a Job?

OP I`m no detailer but I`ve owned a couple businesses and I say I never turned any business, especially in this market, as long as I`d get paid for my work. If hair is the main problem, it`s really no problem. We have 3 dogs and 2 that shed all the time. I have found removing hair easy I put the...

The DuraGloss sounds great. I never heard of mixing two products on a pad together. Hum that sounds like it saves time but is the 5 to 1 ratio easy to calculate just putting it on a pad? I think it`s a great idea but will need to come up with a method to mix it properly. Like 5 dime and 1 dime...

    3m Paint Defender System

It sounds fantastic but no detail on how the shield is removed, or how long it lasts. I`d like to know if it changes the color at all. Some High Def. pictures would be in order. I know they say it`s invisible but. At $44 3M will sell oceans of the stuff, if it works like described and it`s...

    Polish

Hello again, I`ve spent a lot of time looking at my new cars [ 500 mi.] paint. I`m going to use the Collinite 845 for wax but the paint just isn`t as shiny as I want. Since it`s new there are no swirls or paint defects [ I`ve looked closely] , so I`ve come to the conclusion that the clear coat...

    Sealant?

Thanks for all the help. Yep I`m on a budget for waxes, I have 3 cars, a 1991 Merc. that I purchased new and have waxes for it that I been using for 20 years and won`t change [ Megs No 26 & Show car glaze ] the car looks perfect always. So two different inventories of waxes is not cheap...

    Sealant?

I`d like to thank all the good replies regarding Collinite 845. Now since I`ve been persuaded to not use Megs NXT2.0 under the 845 I`ll need a sealer or something under the 845 Right? Without breaking the bank on cost what sealer would you use under the 845? Also I been using Megs Ultimate...

    Any application tips Collinite 845?

There`s no doubt NX 2.0 is the easiest to use product I have ever used. No powder, doesn`t mess up trim and super easy on and off. But like I said the shine doesn`t last as long as I`d like, on the other hand even after the shine dulls it still beads water well. I`m looking for a longer lasting...

    Any application tips Collinite 845?

Wow thanks, what great info from you guys. And that was a fantastic read about how to use 845. Well it seems there`s not a lot of love for Megs. NXT, I did notice that the look was lost fairly quick with it, that`s one reason I`m looking to make a change. So what sealer do you guys suggest or...

    Any application tips Collinite 845?

I just purchased a new 2013 Honda Accord Sport for my wife. I`m looking to get the paint looking good. I`ve been a Meguiars user for decades. I had a friend that swore that Collinite 845 was the best so I decided to see so I purchased a bottle. For the people that use it is there any tips...
