Tool Cleaning Day……………………………… Surprise, surprise, I like clean tools. Considering my line of work, that isn’t always possible, so it ends up being an occasional attempt. It doesn’t help when someone returns a borrowed tool in dirty condition…………………….................... Kranzle K1152 –...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I have a wall coming along with signs. Some of them I've purchased myself, such as the Breaks & Scrap'em, Victa, and Stihl signs. Others were given to me as gifts.

Not really, the newer mower in that image is called a "utility" mower, which means it's purely designed to cut and run. Very few people buy this style of mower for residential use as it doesn't have the ability to bag/catch, 90% of mowing in Australia is done with a catcher. These mowers are...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Sure do, the original Victa 18 from the early 1950's. (Ignore the arrows) Mine is a Model 5, which was made in 1958 and has an cast alloy deck instead of stamped steel. This is the original prototype from 1952 was built in the inventers garage, which used a peach tin as the fuel tank...

This blade arrangement seems to be most prevalent for the Australian/NZ market, most other countries seem to use bar blades, including the UK. In Australia, it really only the American and cheap entry-level mowers that come with bar blades. As an upfront cost to the manufacturer, the swing-back...

Need Polish Compound and Pad Recommendations for Honda Paint

Rupes DA Fine can do some decent correction if needed, especially teamed with a yellow wool pad. It's a non-diminishing polish, so you can ramp up the correction with more passes. I'd team it with a Rupes yellow foam. If you only have light wash swirls, I think you would be well served with...

    What are you listening to...?

I know it's popular to hate her, but she is such a ray of positivity. She isn't arrogant (Madonna), doesn't indulge in scandal, is kind and generous to her fans and hasn't let fame go to her head. In her later stage of her career, I how she is giving younger performers exposure via...

What did you do today non-detailing related?

I can agree with that. I was in a unique situation where I was both a business owner AND an employee concurrently. I worked 4-days per week as an employee, and worked the 2-3 days per week as a sole trader. I think this served me well in both situations. As an employee, I brought business...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I blow the mower after finishing each job. I've found with some form of protection on the deck, in my case Hydr02 or even a coating, the dust doesn't really stick, meaning the leaf blower keeps it looking clean. See, there is method in my madness. I probably don't clean the underside of the...

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Much like engine bays, try to avoid focusing the foam cannon or nozzle on one spot for too long. You could wrap the air filer box with a plastic bag, but I never do. Normally, I'll just spray the mower with an alkaline wheel cleaner (Wise Guy, Brake Buster) or an APC (Surfex HD). On this...
