New FLEX Tools Introduced at SEMA!

A couple of questions: Are the cordless models brushless? Is there a soft rubber bumper that comes with the tool to cover the battery pack to help prevent accidental damage of the battery pack upon hitting or touching a vehicle's surface or is this as an accessory? Thank you.

einszett Closes the Next Chapter Begins nextzett

WOW! Some of the best detailing products I own are einszett. However, I do see the detailing market changing as I reside in Southern California and have now taken to using my Dupray Hill Injection vapor cleaner and rinseless wash to detail my personal vehicles. I now detail them less and...

Need some help on getting an air compressor set up

Bad advice? If you read the OP's post his requirements are listed. He does not mention running his shop with it. If you believe Ciasons is low-end brand, then you do not know much about air compressors. And if you really want quiet, and to run a shop properly with no qualms, then go for a rotary...

Need some help on getting an air compressor set up

The issue you'll run into with air compressors is the CFM needed for the tools you'll be using. You'll be surprised at how even small tools and air blowers can take significant CFM. I would look at the CFM requirements for the Rupes tools and afterwards decide which air compressor to purchase...

Nanoskin Microbuff DA Paint Correction System

What always concerns me with videos like these is that there are no before and after paint thickness reading included with the video. Yes, you can achieve speculator results, but at what cost on paint thickness?

3401 vrg as a birthday present

This model rotates opposite of how the others do. Forced rotation is owned to the geared backing plate to the geared housing assembly, in other words, it does not freewheel—when the tool stops so does the pad. Like any tool, you will have to experience it firsthand to arrive at your own...

3401 vrg as a birthday present

I enjoy mine, but some people cannot get use to the forced rotation and rotation direction that the Flex uses. That's probably first thing you will either happily accept or else try to overcome.

Mold Infested Monte Carlo - By Visual Pro Detailing

My post was not a slam against you at all. I just cannot see how people allow their vehicles to get like this in the first place. Was this a water damaged vehicle?

Mold Infested Monte Carlo - By Visual Pro Detailing

If I owned this vehicle there is no way I come let passengers ride in it nor come I sell it to another with any good conscience.

    clear bra

Repair all your road rash and chips and then have the PPF applied. I have done an install on my son's new vehicle and although I have the patience to do it, my son does not. You can do it, but you will need to study-up on the subject, buy the right tools, and have the correct solutions mixed to...

    Griots, Flex, Rupes DA clone

I agree. It's all a matter of the quality control standards in place at the manufacturing plant. Where it's made and who makes it is becoming irrelevant.

Review: NEW 2014 Mothers Back-to-Black Heavy Duty Trim Cleaner

Yes, but the bigger question is how long will the results last? Nice review, thanks.

    Griots, Flex, Rupes DA clone

It would be hard for Rupes to go after the Chinese version as I do not see how they can patent oscillations—unless it was unique, which it is not. The FEIN MultiMaster patent expired a few years ago and you see several manufacturers making the same style tool. The oscillation tool playing...

Fitbit Force vs Jawbone Up24 vs Nike's FuelBand SE?

This much I'll say: FitBit's customer service is absolutely exemplary. It's the reason I stay with FitBit.

    Help! Leather stain! Aaaa!

Make sure the headrest surface that actually touches the head is real leather. A lot of manufacturers us vinyl with leather surrounds. If it is vinyl I would try a steamer.

    Help! Leather stain! Aaaa!

Actually, a steamer will emulsify the grease to release it. However, in reviewing your post I believe that you are likely dealing with an organic hair coloring. If that's the case then it is probably embedded into the headrest.

Steam Car Wash (exterior) in Houston TX

I would never do this. The temperature variance between the steam and panels (especially the glass) is too great.

    Flex Deluxe Polishing Bag Giveaway!

From the moment I squeezed the trigger I knew the XC Flex 3401 VRG was for me. It’s not for everyone and I like it that way. I would purchase a Rupes if it were made by Flex.
