DIY Full Flow brass garden hose shut-off valve

At this point for those of us who did the DIY shut off valve I think it's more of an OCD + Pride thing to replace the rest of the components, just so we can be sleep easier and be happy that everything from the spigot to the nozzle is the same diameter. haha I got a chance to use my new setup...

So I just washed my car, and its raining... Need help.

I would QD with ONR or any other quality QD. The rain most likely helped rinse off any dust.

Absolute Perfection Auto Detailing – Suburban Transformation! – Goldsboro, NC

Great work! Love the side by side presentation of before and after of the spots we don't typically see in a writeup that make all the difference in a proper detail.

DIY Full Flow brass garden hose shut-off valve

Just ordered one plus two extra connectors. Sweet! Their hose reel looks pretty hefty as well. My hose reel, I suspect, has a restrictive 1/4" connector. As for our goals for GPM, I don't believe we have any, just want to know that it's as unrestrictive as possible. It makes us happy.

Horror Story and Need a Professional Auto Detailer in Daytona/Ormond Beach FL Area?

I'm a detailer in Daytona. I would be more than happy to do a free inspection for you and let you know what it will take to do it right and get rid of all that damage done to your car, no obligations. It's the least I can do for a fellow forum member. We can have a few beers and talk while we...

DIY Full Flow brass garden hose shut-off valve

I just went and bought the exact same parts from Home Depot at lunch... $22.00. And looks like a beast. Can't wait to try it. The larger handle on the shut off valve is worth the price alone to me. I agree that the bottleneck doesn't matter much when hooked up to a pressure washer, but there...

DIY Full Flow brass garden hose shut-off valve

All I could find is this Dixon DGH7 Brass Quick-Connect Fitting, Garden Hose Complete Set, 200 psi Pressure: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific But I suspect it is probably only a 1/2" diameter even though it looks larger than the others in photos, most likely in relation to the sleeve being...

DIY Full Flow brass garden hose shut-off valve

I love this idea of building your own, the cool factor, the simplicity, the manly look to it, and the easy to grasp handle compared to the small plastic lever on the 1-piece units for sale. I have to agree with silverfox on the quick disconnects. It's only going to be as strong as its smallest...

    Review of Detail Fest 2014

This was my third year attending and I didn't think it was going to get any more fun that last year but it did! There were a ton more people than the previous years in attendance and the car show seemed larger as well. I like how AG mixes things up each year, it's not the same exact setup or...

    rupes 12e vs 15es

I got to handle both polishes at DetailFest at the Rupes booth on a hood atop a stand. Having come from a PC, GG6, and 3401, my initial impressions are as follows: 1. the LHR15ES is smoother than the 12E. Noticeably less vibrations. Also easier to keep steady than the 12E. 2. the 15ES...

Yes 15%. I believe even the Rupes polishers were being discounted at that rate. The president of Flex was actually telling us that the 3401 was available on Sunday for $325, tax included.
