Clear coat on Lexus interior wood - what to clean & protect it

I use Optimum Leather Protectant for the whole interior (minus the glass, of course). It's great on leather and trim. Treat the "wood" just like Mike Honcho (above) recommended, you're not really dealing with wood finish, your dealing with plastic resin. You'd need a power sander to get to the wood.

    Favorite leather cleaner/protectant?

I just tried an expiriment myself. I just received a bottle of Pinnacle Leather Cleaner and Conditioner and decided to try it out on my new MB GLE. I did the Leather dashboard and two front seats. It did an OK job, left the seats and dash slightly darker (and I mean SLIGHTLY almost not worth...

    Unofficial poll:Favorite leather cleaner/interior cleaner

A mild hydrochloric acid wash works wonders for your fine leather interior. And you only have to clean it once! How's THAT for an expedient? (No, please don't follow this recommendation)

    The Art of Glass Cleaning

I don't mind cleaning glass. My method seems to work very well, for me. First I inspect the glass, any tree sap or pine tar gets taken care of with Tarminator and paper towels. Secondly, (or firstly if there's no tar to remove) I use ONR and an Opti-Eraser to lightly pre-clean the windshield...

Do I always need to use a "cleaner" wax before applying LSP/wax?

IF my paint is in good condition and IF it's not too dirty, I will use ONR and then Pinnacle Liquid Wax. Has worked for me in the past, will work in the future.

Adding a little pop to 2017 MB C300 open pore wood trim?

I got the Burl Walnut on my 2016 GLE400 'cause I didn't care for the matte look of the Ash. I liked the overall color just not the dullness.

    claying windows

I use either a GG Fine Surface Prepare Mitt or an OPT Opti-Eraser on the exterior glass followed by Invisible glass and then Rain X. The interior gets a pass with a Magic Eraser followed by Invisible glass. Routine works very well.

An Ounce of Prevention is worth a Pound of Cure......

There are a lot of posts on re-surfacing the fairly new plastic covered headlights. How about preventing the hazing from happening at all? What does everyone use to 'coat' or otherwise protect your headlights. On my old car and my new Merc I've been using Plexus Plastic Cleaner, Protectant &...

How much dirt do you accept?

I like the one section nightly routine. Guess I'm not the oly one that does that. I'll ONR (or Opti-clean if not that dirty) the hood and two front fenders one night and the four door the next night, then the rear.

How much dirt do you accept?

We all like a clean vehicle. That's why we're OCD (obsessive compulsive detailers); but short of cleaning your vehicle daily - which isn't too practical, how dirty do you let your vehicle exterior get before you attend to it?
