    Question for Collinite 475 & 915 users

Do you drive your car? How are you washing salt and whatnot off of your car for two years without wearing the wax down?

    Question for Collinite 475 & 915 users

Did you drive the car after you waxed it? lol? Or does it not rain there.

This isn't from just pollen season, this is every day. We do have a lot of industry here so maybe industrial fallout? Also, there's a constant year round asphalt patch team that is ALWAYS every day, patching holes in our roads, so you drive over that crap constantly, along with salt like 6...

    Question for Collinite 475 & 915 users

Ah ok, great, I appreciate that :) thanks! "Finish Kare 1000p is a synthetic wax originally developed as a mold release agent thus it stands up to high heat. It adds a layer of very strong protection against contaminants and very strong protection against etching from bird bombs and water...

I didn't gather that from the reviews those products got. Suggest something better for me. I'll consider just about anything lol.

    Need opinions on this strategy.

Not reading but having the experience. After I do a iron x, clay, polish & wax treatment, after a week or so my car's trashed, as if I never did any of that one time lol. My guesses were maybe that the detailer wasn't good enough, the wax is too soft for my environment or maybe there's...

Would a hybrid like Collinite be better? I'm guessing yes.

    Post wax maintenance

On my brand new car which had a great paint job (2013 chrysler 200s) I clayed it and waxed it and it was soo slick it was stupid. I'm not about shortcuts whatsoever. Not in the least, and I didn't mean I used a microfiber or duster on weeks of dirt. I meant days of dust. That's why I said "I...

    Post wax maintenance

My wax must really blow then lol, because I can guarantee you there's no wax left on my car after I wash it. When I wash I usually use a one bucket method with a grit guard and a micro fiber mitt, w/ Maguiars deep crystal car wash solution and a big water filter on the hose, and I rinse my mitt...

    Post wax maintenance

Ok, I'm wondering how you get are getting away with waxing every 5 or so months... How are you preventing the sun from baking in the dust and pollen? After I wax (meguiars gold class carnauba) I get about 2 weeks before the dirt that's baked onto the won't come off with a california duster...

    Question for Collinite 475 & 915 users

I'm torn between these two waxes because I have a dark colored car, but don't want to be waxing every 2 months either. Question: How much durability in terms of months would I be giving up by choosing 915 over 476? I'm ok with waxing every 6 months if I can get away with it.

Ok, looking for a good wax and detailer combination to use. I'm coming from tech wax (too streaky for me) and Meguiars Gold Class carnauba wax with Mothers Showtime quick detailer and I'm starting to see that I may not be using the best of the best lol. From what I've been reading from the...

Opinions on Turtle Wax's polish for black cars.

I got the good base prerequisites down, I was just looking for some opinions on not only this turtle wax product but on "black car" specific polishes in general. I was never quite sure if they were all a gimmick or not. Was kinda focused on polishes not waxes. Thanks for all the help so far...

    Wax comparisons question

I see... How does collinite 476 fare against the waxes you've mentioned?

Opinions on Turtle Wax's polish for black cars.

Yea, that's what I was looking for, a good polish that's specifically formulated for black or dark cars. Something that's kind of dyed in a way. If that's not a gimmick in and of itself. Not sure as I've never researched polishes for black cars in depth.

Opinions on Turtle Wax's polish for black cars.

Huh? I was talking about a good quality substitute for Turtle Wax's black polish. Know of any? :)

    Wax comparisons question

Ok, I just watched this thread on here (like soo many) where the guy talks about how he took a car that was in need of a slight polish and wax, then waxes it and is like WOAAAAHHHH. THIS WAX IS THE BOMB! Ok, if you take bird crap, put it on a da, and rub down a car with swirl marks all over...

Opinions on Turtle Wax's polish for black cars.

I'm gathering this company isn't considered higher quality. If it isn't, is there something better for dark colored cars? I'm looking for something REALLY fine for black.

    Polishing paint with minor imperfections

On post 3 of this thread https://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/auto-detailing-101/107273-soft-black-paint.html they talk about hand polishing. If it works there, can it work on my car?
