Ha. I was wondering when someone would mention cornstarch. We use to use it all the time when removing carnauba. Harly wax then dust with cornstarch. Sometimes these little tricks get lost over time.

I have an Avalanche and this is a constant problem seeing as how half the darn thing is plastic. The best and easiest thing I have found is an eraser. (Not CarPro Eraser, just an eraser) The white ones work best.

Just a thought- Since it's that flakey foil stuff maybe if you got a piece of clear packing tape and taped over it, give it a little rub on the foil, then lift off the tape. It might lift the foil with it and probably won't damage the cushioned vinyl. Maybe get a q-tip with some alcohol and...
