First Detailing paid job = 2 Step SMART Cabrio

Hmm, soft panels that bend on these cars, good to note and thanks for sharing that. I assume because of this, the correction took longer than expected, due to less pressure being apply while compounding? Great work, car looks very nice!

I think the constructive feedback you were trying to get across was: "I don't recommend using a PC as you risk splattering the chemical product, requiring unnecessary clean-up. The hand application works fine." :xyxthumbs:

Mobile detailers: What is your paint correction process on the road?

Just some quick background. I am in the process of putting together the pieces to start my part time detailing business. I walked into the city and county building last week to talk to zoning about a home auto detailing business. They said I cannot do that because, while a home run business is...

Right, be sure you are protecting yourself with this stuff! I wore glasses and rubber gloves even when doing it by hand.

Sounds like a solid plan, go for it! I will be experimenting with my PC as well with a similar technique, I just wanted to try the hand process first to see how it would work. The instructions say it can be applied either by hand or machine polisher.

    Pure Shine Auto Detailing/Cadillac Escalade

Yikes, that was pretty bad! Great work on the turn around, black paint never disappoints when it comes to paint correction. Might look into that garage flooring for my garage, I have a sealed floor with the specks but it can get slippery when wet.

Not long. I rubbed the product in for about 3 minutes per section, with the MF pad, then immediately sprayed it down with water while rubbing with my gloves. Thanks for all the other comments, really happy with the results! I thought for sure I would not be able to get those nasty spots off :o

Another Black Magic Pearl 9N Polo - Detailed by Lawrence

Car looks great! Good example photos comparing the compound vs. polish, I experienced this as well on a recent black car I detailed. Stickers are indeed a pain, I just removed all my stickers from my personal race car

    Mobile or shop

I would recommend doing what you prefer to do. Not sure if one is better than the other. Does your city have any regulations around a detailing business running out of the garage? I assume you setup an LLC or SP for your business? Justin
