I wasn't sure if the wheel coating would last/bond as well on the PVD surface. With the work that it takes to prep the wheels I want it to last. Just trying to make an informed decision.
For the past 4 years I have been using cleaner wax to polish the PVD chrome wheels on my wife's Ford Edge, followed by 845 and occasional Meguiars D156 as a drying aid. I am looking for more durability and ease of cleaning, so I am planning to coat these wheels and also the PVD wheels on my...
I have used different wheel cleaners on my chrome clad wheels without much success. The most effective and least aggressive approach for me is polishing with a cleaner wax. I posted a link below from when I polished mine. You can then put a layer of collinite on top of that. That is what I...
I have been using the turbo cleaner product in my tornador for a while now. It cleans well and I found it to not have the overpowering odor/vapor that APC+ has when used as the cleaning solution.
Yes, Wolfgang finishing glaze is actually a polish. Use it and follow with 845. No need for the paint cleansing lotion at all. I also don't see the need to top 845 with the tech wax, but you can try if you want. As stated before, you can get 6 month durability from 845. You could always do...
The filters are actually just cartridges to hold the resin and do not need to be replaced. The two cartridges that cost $120 are pre-filled with resin so that a person can unscrew their cartridge of spent resin, remove it, and drop in a new filled cartridge. This eliminates the process of...

I have had this DP vac since May 2014. I absolutely love it. Quiet, powerful, super durable hose, boars hair brush, 35 foot power cord... I would buy it again & again. With the current sale and discount it can be yours for $140. Get it!
I was basically asking if you were just foaming and rinsing (touch less) which may not remove the contamination, or doing a regular wash with a mitt. Maybe you should try a different shampoo. I have been using PNS for over a year and have never had the issue that you are having, even with one...
OP, are you doing a touch less or regular wash when you foam? I do a 2 bucket wash with Chemical Guys Citrus Clear and it always brings the beading back.

Stunning work. Unfortunately, I can't see him keeping it looking that way based on the condition it was in, even with the coating. Sad to see for a 2014 model.
I don't know what the shelf life is supposed to be, but I have had the DP paint coating for the same amount of time as you have and the Pinnacle glass coating for two years. Both still work fine for me. I just used the glass coating today and did not notice any change.
