Water spots on vehicle coated in June 2017

I agree about the PNS. It works wonders at not letting the spots etch the paint. I apply it over the coating on my personal vehicles.

McKee 37 Paint Coating Questions Before I Dive In

M205 is fine, but I would recommend a more user friendly compound like Meguiars Ultimate Compound instead of M105. Other good choices are the Wolfgang or Pinnacle twins, HD Cut and HD Polish, Menzerna Fg400 and SF3500.

7 Years & its first clay job.

I have to agree with Paul, please stop with the "proxy". :nomore: (Of course, every time I try to type poxy my iPad wants to autocorrect it to proxy) Also, if you called 3M you were talking to the wrong company, you should have called 3D. :poke: Kidding aside, you will love speed and poxy...

DG 601 combo with 105 AFTER 501 correct?

Your process looks good. You can apply the 601, let it haze, apply the 105 over it and remove both at the same time; or mix the 601 and 105 together and apply that way. Probably don't need the 845 on top. Maybe see how you like the looks of the 105 first.

    New FLEX leaked...

Judging by Mike's videos it looks like it has plenty of power to keep the pad spinning, even when it was polishing the wheel surfaces.

First full job using my XFE7

I've had my 3401 and PE14 for several years now. Because of their quality and durability I am a fan of Flex products. I have been interested in the XFE7 since last year and have been contemplating adding it to my collection since I do not own a large throw polisher. I will not be considering...

Adam West aka Batman - Rest in Peace

Nooooooo! I didn't know until reading this post. I too grew up watching the series, and Batman has always been my favorite superhero. I have quite a collection of Batman memorabilia and comics, and years ago one of my best friends got Adam West to autograph a picture for me at a comic...

    HD SPEED Meets F-150

Awesome turnaround. I am confused though on the part where you say the truck still looked filthy after being washed. Did you do a bucket wash with a mitt or just a foam and rinse? Or are you saying the oxidation/swirls and lack of shine made the truck look filthy? I like to wash the vehicle...

Paint Correction didn't go so well

Paul summed it up perfectly. Crank the speed on the PC for compounding and polishing. Put a mark on your backing plate if you have not already done so to make sure the pad is rotating. Once you are happy with your test spots after inspecting with the proper lighting use that process to finish...
