    Plastic trim and wax

I hadn't heard of using WD-40 for removing wax before. Will it or the Pre-Wow cleaner remove the wax from the finish above it? Or do I need to tape that off before working on the trim. Also, will the Pre-Wow cleaner remove the Black Wow from the trim?

    Plastic trim and wax

Mostly I use Poorboy's World products (South Fl, hot sun, no garage - great stuff). It's not stains from wax, it's just old wax that I can't get out of the "pores" of the textured plastic. I'll see if I can get a photo to post in here.

    Plastic trim and wax

On my new(er) car (a '07 Pontiac G6), I have black plastic trim around the the bottom of the sides and at the bottom of the rear bumper. I've used Black Wow on it (it does make it look real good). But no matter careful I am, I still get wax on it when I'm doing the rest of the car. Rubbing it...

Question on Meguiars DA Microfiber Correction System

I watched the video on this and I'm thinking of trying it, but Mike and the others were always talking about OEM paint. What about 'aftermarket' paint jobs? As I bought my car used, I have no idea if it is the original paint or if it has been painted since then. I have been trying to get all...

How much for your lastest tank of gas

I bought my 2007 G6 less than 2 months ago. The first time I filled it from 1/4 tank (on the fuel gauge) I found that I had a 15 gal tank.It took 13 gal to fill it (which proves that the gauges are never accurate). At that time I filled it for about $32.00. Last night I filled it when I hit 1/4...

More like triplets! Out of 4 drivers in my house, 3 are female. And they think that washing the car is driving through the rain.

    Wheel wells and Tires

I've been looking through the site for a good brush that I can use for cleaning my wheel wells with. One with a long reach so that I can get to the back of the well. And what would be a good dressing after they are clean? Also, what would you all recommend for removing gel type tire dressing...

    Polisher?

fk00gst - I know it was a typo, cause I don't know of any polisher that can handle a 5 foot pad, but I just had to mention it . Anyway, I'd say that if the backing plate you have measures 5 3/4", then you would need to use the 6.5" pads. Unless you can get a smaller plate from Griots, that is.

    Wheels DO make the car!

If/when I do this, I'll get someone that knows what their doing. Some of the springs show that they lower the car up to 2" almost. Does this mean I'd have to replace the struts also? (As you may be able to tell, I'm not much of a car mechanic. :D )

    Wheels DO make the car!

Any suggestions for what to use to keep these clean and shiny? Along with what will remove tire gel also.

    Wheels DO make the car!

TS, Thanks for the tip. I checked out springrates.com, but the only Mitsubishi they list are 95-99 Eclipse and 4 different lancers. Mine's an '03. I going to keep looking though.

    Wheels DO make the car!

I was finally able to get new wheels for my car. I think it really makes a big difference in appearance. This is my first try posting pics here. Here's a before and after shot of it. Note: Had to wire brush rust, the prime and paint the rotor hubs and calipers to match the wheels. Old: New:

    Dakota Odor Bomb

Thanks all. I've already order a 3pk of them. 1 for the kids room (nasty place), 1 for the wifes car and one for mine. I just wanted to be sure that it would not affect the headliners.

    Dakota Odor Bomb

Has anyone else used this before? I already ordered for use in the house, but it seems abit of overkill to use the entire 6000 cubic foot can in a 30 cubic foot (guessing here) car.
