Still pretty new at detailing myself, but I think you just get more pad contact with the 5.5 pads. Other than that i dont think there is really much difference

I buffed out a black GMC Denali last week. Used Menzerna super polish on white LC pad. I was happy with the finished look, removed most of the swirls and webbing, but when i took an after pic with my camera. It had these tiny little white specs on the hood. But only shows in the pic ??? Anyone...

Yes, thats pretty much what I have done in a few cases, but they cant understand why just "waxing" isnt giving them the bright, shiney, clear look when I am done. I guess you just can fix stupid can ya LOL

I just bought the 3401 a few weeks ago. It definately has more power of my 7424... Like Harleyguy mentioned..it doesnt bog down when you apply pressure to it. I still like to use my PC on certain panels though, its a little more easy to handle in certain situations

Since this truck had such bad oxidation...has the paint been permanently damanged?..and will it start to fade again soon if not kept waxed regularly?

Ok..I ordered some Menz Power gloss the other day..havent had a chance to use it yet..but if it has deminishing abrasives...how will I know when it has broken down enough? Will it turn hazy or dry up?
