    Since AG hasn't made a post...I WILL!

Well now that they're just one state over in Hoosierland I wonder if I can get them to toss in some of Indiana's chief exports to Illinois - cheap cartons of smokes and fireworks! :p Saves the drive over and back.

    Autopia

n00b. A million years ago I used to transmit a file from my firm to another firm via 300 baud MDS (Mohawk Data Science) accoustic coupler modem with a 7 track tape as input on my end. There was no takeup reel, we just had a hole in the tabletop the unit was on so the tape could drop through...

Pan the Organizer product line...let's discuss@

In the end that's really it for me. Somebody might have the BEST product or service (and jury's still way out on that here) but if I find someone associated with it (the owner, pitchman, whomever) just really rubs me the wrong way (like Pan) then I won't buy it. It's that simple. It's not...

    Applying Tire Shine Products

I think it also depends some on the size/type of tire in questions which others have noted in their responses. A low profile, tucked-in tire has much less surface area (and is typically smooth) and greater proximity to "shiny" surfaces that you want to avoid spattering during application; paint...

    XenForo Software Feedback

I've switched from "What's New" to "New Posts" with the new forum s/w, fwiw.

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

The change of seasons from Summer to Fall was mirrored by the weather here, sunny and 90 yesterday and pouring rain and high 60's this morning when I drove to the car wash. Why? Because I tossed a battery in my '05 Acura RL this week that had been sitting for 5 years, untouched, and wanted to...

Is this forum slow on your PC?

Performance is mirroring my EKG . . . spike high, drop low, spike high, drop low . . .

    Superior Products

Yes, they are pretty large, I was surprised at the size. The new skyscraper around the corner contains a hotel so the valets leave the "status" vehicles out front rather than run them into the underground (or deal with fitting outsized vehicles, perhaps) so when I go for walks it's not uncommon...

Dark Fury meets the Road Warrior sounds like the title for an awesome B-movie action flick.

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

My $0.02 worth, given the *much* cleaner rain I'm sure you get up there, is just park it in the garage and then inspect it later. 'round these parts the rain tends to melt the skin off our bones so it's a different story, to be sure. ☠️

    Spammers!

Don't know what he/she/they did but the Admin(s) seemed to have moved on the spam problem right ricky-tick as my normal display of "new posts" is spam free suddenly. Thank you Admin(s) for your quick response!

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

Looks good. I always liked the A7/S7/RS7 style (though probably not in red for me) and you've got that one popping. Maybe I never looked close enough before but those wheels look a little different than what I recall - I like them.

    Label Maker suggestions?

Yes, I noticed that. Not at first, mind you, but after the first label didn't seem to be sticking so good I did notice it! Once I knew it was like that it does indeed make the label peeling much easier. I need to get some of the narrower tape as the unit was packaged with 2 24mm tapes...

    Spammers!

I think it's all been so quick, days really, since the forum has been online and operational that it's best to give everyone time and just point out that there's a problem. From my perspective I don't think the forum really became reliably online until yesterday and I'm guessing the sudden...

    Spammers!

Good grief, I guess no good deed truly goes unpunished. Admins got the site xfer'd to the new software, preserved the userbase AND existing content AND addressed the performance issues . . . and the spammers have descended like vultures. It's not even GOOD spam, looking at the new thread...

    Label Maker suggestions?

Closing the loop . . . ended up getting the Brother P-Touch Cube Plus (P710BT). Probably way overkill as I've struggled to find how to print out super simple stuff like "P&S Bug Off 5:1" as the various templates eschew such simple, boring needs but it's working for now. Now *everybody*...

Harbor Freight HC109B Forced Rotation polisher

Bumping only because this was posted right before the fora went away again and this deal expires today. No affiliation with HF, just figured some people might have missed it.

Harbor Freight HC109B Forced Rotation polisher

Posting here as can't seem to find the thread that doc'd hot deals on the old forum but through Sunday HF has a 40% off (45% for InsideTrack members) on any single Bauer or Hercules polisher. So this Hercules unit, which normally retails at HF for ~$120, can be had for $66 IT member/$72...
