Definitely. UPGP is all I've been using on my own cars since November. It's just so easy to use and I love how it doesn't attract dust and it also seems to prevent waterspots unlike waxes.
Did an ONR wash a few days ago and put on 2 coats of UPGP. Heres some pics I took at work today of the results.
Some reflection shots, not too shabby for silver, IMO!
My favorite one, from yesterday morning, so much flake when the sun hits it.
Fantastic result.
How long did it take for you to achieve that (just the paint)? Have you used 105/205 (with foam pads) before you got the DA Microfiber system, do you feel the microfiber system takes less time?
Also just wondering if you know how did that paint get in such horrible condition...
:iagree: This guy sounds like a jerk.. calling people greedy for wanting to make a decent profit off of their hard work is ridiculous, I would've dismissed the guy as soon as he did that.
I'm sure you do high quality work, so it'd be like one of us going to a 5 star restaurant and wanting the...
I would've done exactly what you did, don't sell yourself short. If you aren't making enough profit in your opinion for your time, hard work, and materials, don't do it.
Man, that's rough! The purse dragging on the roof is the one that really gets under my skin, but all of them would drive me bonkers if it was my own car.
This thread is making me feel VERY lucky that I have a girlfriend who respects her and my cars as much as we Autogeeks do.
Some rich guy was frustrated that his Gallardo didn't work after receiving it back from servicing at Lamborghini and decided this was the best way to handle the situation, you know, rather than like, bringing it to another shop.
Some good info here! :xyxthumbs:
He really does know what hes talking about, but even though what he says is 100% true, I still won't be using hair shampoo or dish soap on cars..
I really like to think that there are SOME oils or proprietary blends added to car soap that give added protection...
I can't believe noone has mentioned Duragloss products yet. They are available at NAPA. Also, Meguiar's Gold Class soap, my favorite OTC product.. Ive still yet to try Duragloss CWC/951 though.
Yeah, I suppose that would be what you would need to tell your clients. I only use this product on my personal vehicle because of the long cure time because I do agree with you in that I wouldn't give back a car to a paying customer if it wasn't 100% ready to hit the road.
It stinks that you...
I'm not entirely sure, as my knowledge regarding painting and refinishing is rather limited, but apparently this is a common problem with Hondas black paint. If you type into google "crowsfeet paint" the first results are from some honda forums with similar black paint.
