Question About Repairing a Scraped Bumper

This is kinda tricky, but I'm sure some of you on this forum would be able to find a solution. I know someone who recently had a little scrape on the passenger side rear bumper. Now the tricky part; the scrape is on the textured plastic part of the bumper. It's a mid-90's Volvo 850 sedan. This...

How to wash a car with a foam gun

I think the reason we aren't getting the kind of suds he's showing in the pics is because we're not using the amount of soap he is. Quoting his other thread: "I tend to use the#Glug Glug Method#and fill the quart size container about 1/4th to 1/3rd with soap and the rest with water." So that...

Recommendations on this? Escalade touch-up paint

I remember reading a really good post on this by Mike P. His recommendation is to work the area by hand first. Here's the link to his thread: http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/how-articles/28170-how-remove-paint-transfer.html Here's a quote to sum it up: “Most of the time the paint transfer...

Would you polish if your paint looked like this?

Looks good from those pictures. I can't see any swirls, so I would say just put a sealant or wax on it and skip the polishing step. Save the polishing for when it really needs it.

1980 z28 single stage restore have a few questions

Yes, you can still use them. They'll just need a long soak in the pad solution and a lengthy scrubbing. Can't say the same for the terry cloth towels. Those will be permanently stained, since they get saturated. Sent from my SGH-T999 using AG Online

1980 z28 single stage restore have a few questions

I did the same project last summer, just a different car. I worked on the guards red '65 Porsche that was heavily oxidized, if you happened to see that during your research. With that I applied #7 heavily on the 1st coat, took a break to let it sit, because you have to really rub it in if you...

Art, I sent you a PM that is a forward of your original PM. The pic is a bit grainy and dimly lit, but it gives some perspective. I'll let you add it to this post and your video. You do remember correctly. I was detailing the back seat area, while Christopher was working up front. We had to...

    95 Volvo 850

Great job. You brought back some luster to the old work horse. I also have a '95 Volvo 850 (Turbo wagon). Sitting in the garage, not running, but it's solid when working. Also, nice prancing moose emblems. Gotta love the irony. So are you going to name it "Barney?"
