5" vs 3" - When to use each

I also found the 5.5 pads can make a big difference. Some are low profile while others are thicker . Some 5.5 glide better on the spots you highlighted while others have a hard time. The lake and country orange pad had no issues for me on those spots. I have also seen detailers use 3 and 5 on...

5" vs 3" - When to use each

On all my 3 cars the paint is thick. I have done a civic too and the paint was on thin side. The 3" does not cut more than the 5". I just happen to use the 3" with a more aggressive compound and speed to remove deeper scratches. If I use the 3" with a finishing polish it would cut the same as...

5" vs 3" - When to use each

I use 5" almost everywhere , unless I can't get to it . I feel much more comfortable using 5" . But I guess its dependent on how comfortable you feel with a 3" My friend is a detailer and he uses 3" quite a bit , he even has smaller pads that he uses. I almost regret buying the 3" , it does...

how to do you guys reapply sealants if you are using a QD on top every car wash?

Im not upset at beadmaker at all... I actually use the product as a drying aid for all my cars right now and I still have a whole gallon to go. I just said that I personally classify beadmaker as a quick detailer / booster for my application and driving conditions I guess. But I would...

what is your opinion on car pro gliss as standalone product

that is the information I was looking for , it does make sense now. I was having a hard time understanding the purpose of gliss Having said that, when I asked the store about putting gliss on top of lite, they recommended putting lite on of gliss. Weird but I guess if you are putting lite ...

how to do you guys reapply sealants if you are using a QD on top every car wash?

thanks I was calling beadmaker a quick detailer. I know its marketed as a sealant , but I dont think I got more than 2 or 3 weeks out of it , which would compared to a quick detailer to me at least. Its a nice product and it could get addictive that is for sure. I even think most of the hate...

5" vs 3" - When to use each

I use 3" for very hard to get spaces and I also use 3" if there is a deep scratch that needs some heavy compounding, I do not see the need for a big 5" to remove a deep scratch that is small. I just feel like I m removing more clear coat than I need. As a matter of fact if the scratch is just to...

graphene and spray ceramic coatings and microfiber towels

I don't do this for money , its all free . I have 3 cars, my brother has 1 and my dad has 2. They help me with the mechanical maintenance of the car ( brakes, change parts) and interior cleaning ( I hate interior cleaning) , so they have more tools than me for that and I help them with the...

graphene and spray ceramic coatings and microfiber towels

I was actually looking at tac systems moonlight or the last coat black ice, they seem very appealing for what I want out of a standalone product . But I m planning on doing more than 1 car , probably 4 or 5 and this is where the microfiber towels come in mind. Not sure I want to discard that...

graphene and spray ceramic coatings and microfiber towels

I was trying to find an answer online for this and surprisingly there isn't much information on this. It got me thinking , do you guys discard or demote your microfiber after application of these products ( graphene , spray ceramic coatings) I know that for a 2 year old or even a lite coatings...

what is your opinion on car pro gliss as standalone product

I was wondering why car pro gliss seems to get less attention than car pro lite and in some degree less attention than car pro cquart uk In theory it is marketed as a longer coating than cquartz lite and at the same time it is supposed to fix some of the issues of a regular coating , like water...

Best product to use by hand before applying spray sealant???

I like m205 with my da polisher and even on small spots by hand but it is a little bit on the dusty side for me when i tried to do a bigger panel by hand . Funny that I find ultimate polish less dusty than m205. You would think it would be the other way around.

    Need suggestions

cquartz uk v3 is the most popular car pro coating. You could choose cquartz uk v3 and just maintain the coating with car pro reload, or choose another ceramic topper every 2-3 months ; this would be what most people are doing with coating , or you could take it a step further and choose to top...

Best product to use by hand before applying spray sealant???

I guess anything could be used by hand . But I would recommend something like a finish polish , that its not too abrasive and easier to spread by hand. I little goes a long way. Car pro essense is a very friendly product and it has fillers which may also help correct minor imperfections. Its...

    Need suggestions

most coatings do well against water but at the same time they do not do well. They are prone to water spotting issues so they usually recommend using a topper to help with that problem. As far as brands , I would say most popular are car pro , gyeon , opti coat , kamikaze , gtechniq In terms...

how to do you guys reapply sealants if you are using a QD on top every car wash?

Here is one of those odd questions that I do not see a lot . If you had a ceramic coating applied to your car , lets say car pro cquartz, then you maintain that coating with car pro reload every 2 months , but you are one of the many guys that may be using another product to boost your gloss...

less gloss on more durable products?

would you that a coating top with wax brings back the original gloss of a freshly polished panel? if you were to compare a freshly polish panel with some type of wax vs a freshly polish panel with ceramic + wax, would they be the same? . I remember reading on another forum that some exotic car...

less gloss on more durable products?

I've been researching for while on various products and its pretty clear to me that the main gloss / show type finish comes from prepping the panel. A proper wash , decontamination and polish technique goes a long way to making a car look perfect. The final step is the paint sealant, whether you...

    Turtle Wax GRAPHENE Flex Wax

100$ canadian for a 500 ml bottle is a high price to pay for a sealant... I can get cquartz uk with reload package as a package for cheaper in Canada. I m all for trying new products, but there is a price point where I need to check more sources... As many flaws as a torture tests can have...
