    Predator waterless carwash

Someone posted this product before on here. Can't find the link right now, but overall, the comments were pretty much the same. I am not one to bash something if I have never tried it, but this is one of those things I will never try.

Best Dealer like paint protection for new black car

Welcome hoghead! I'm going to put in my 2 cents and try to help. If you find it helpful awesome, if not than at least I tried. I am new to the forum, first post, been searching here and I am looking for the best sealant / protection to apply to my wife's new Chrysler 300. As you might have...

Vw golf gti paint correction not really correcting

lawrenceSA is spot on!!! I have an MK7 GTI-Pure white! I thought my wife's black GTI was difficult until I decided to do mine. Microfiber extra cut pads work amazing with FG400. Super Slooooooooow arm speed is required. But, once you have it cleaned up, it is a breeze to maintain!!

Do you mostly stick with one product line, or cherrypick from multiple lines?

I believe in Synergy. So, while I do have many many products, I'll try my best to stick to that entire line. I do multiple test spots to see what works. If I'm doing a full correction I'll start with compounds, once I find the one that works, everything else is from the same exact line. The...

Maserati paint film by reputable tint shop damage.

From what you stated, without pictures, I would agree that it was razor damage. From my experience, Maserati paint fits into what I call medium hardness. That's why me thinks razor damage. Let us know what happens and sorry about your misfortune.

    Ceramic coating vs sealant.

A little debate for vobro, here is my thinking. True any type of protecting is going to be thin. When I was talking about taking the brunt of the trauma it was also dealing with the info I sent bossbrew in a pm. As for the wax taking the abuse, I mean from things like the daily elements. I'm...

    Ceramic coating vs sealant.

That's how I see it. You lay down a coating (I love Polish Angel and can be found on AGs sister site Autopia), let it cure for the time the product dictates, then layer a wax on top of that. The wax takes the blunt of any trauma and the coating keeps on protecting.

    Ceramic coating vs sealant.

Welcome to Autogeek Dave, you will find a lot of answers here. First, great choice of car! Second, ceramic coatings are going to be more durable than sealants. Will this help with marring and scratches? The simple answer is yes and no. Some coatings are considered extremely hard yielding a 9H...

Coatings: Spray on vs. Brush on

I've tried a couple of coatings in each "category". I've not been detailing as long as others, but I do a lot of production detailing. I choose the spray and drop & spread types, for the ease of use. Maybe if I was doing high end cars I would go with the harder ones, but more than likely not...

Step by step with 1983 VW Vanagon

People have their ways of using Iron X. For myself, I clay first then Iron X. My reasoning is that there can be all sorts of contamination that interfere with Iron X. So if I clay first, the Iron X goes onto just the surface. Less product used as well.

Step by step with 1983 VW Vanagon

If I were to detail this- these would be the steps I do. 1) test to see if this paint is single stage or not 2) wash van using 2 bucket method 3) clay entire vehicle (wheels- paint- glass) 4) iron x entire vehicle 5) knowing whether paint is one stage or not will determine paint correction...

A little help with Wax longevity

Thank you all and as I said, was looking to get a general idea of longevity or if someone happened to run across the manufactures claim. This was more for the: I want to know vs the need of trying to get max use out of a specific wax. I currently have Viking Coat on my vehicle right and I'm...

A little help with Wax longevity

So, I've been trying to research as to how long a typical application of the following waxes lasts. I know environmental, and other elements play a factor. Just trying to get a general idea. I purchased all from AG so I don't think it will be an issue. I have found some times from others and...
