Soapy water isnt bad for plants at all. It really only will effect aphids and insects. So I kinda see it being beneficial. But yeah keep in mind if you use some acidic cleaners or a strong APC I imagine that may have some negative effects.

Of course. Its generally recommended by the manufacturer that you stick to their line. There is nothing wrong with mixing though. I just used UC and followed with wg polish and my results were very impressive

I'm not sure what you are looking for but Lake Country makes a wool ball in both 3 & 5". I've never used one so I wouldnt be able to tell you if they work well.

I have some pad conditioner by chem guys that I use. I dont have as many problems with product flashing or drying up. Also you dont want to start rubbing a dry pad on your paint. If you dont prep your pad with something make sure you prime it well. Just keep in mind less is more.
