Even Raccoons like a good reflection

Gah! They're pests you guys...shoot 'em or have Animal Services get them outta there. You're gonna hate 'em when they grow up! They'll find a way into the warehouse and will tear up everything.

    Poorboys opinions???

I'd suggest polishing in the late afternoon/early evening or even at night under halogens if you're too worried about it. I've done that and let me tell ya, the neighbors think I'm crazy. You can also buy a canopy to cover the area you're working on. I have a single car garage as well so I...

    Favorite car product thus far!

Don't worry about how long it takes you to complete your exterior detail. With more experience, you'll be able to gauge what needs to be done and what doesn't need to be done, then adjust your time spent accordingly. The Foam Gun is a great tool. Once you have depleted your bottle of DP...

    Duragloss Questions

That may be the gallon size of 105. But I'm sure D2G means 105 and forgets that not all of us buy the gallons. :D

    Duragloss Questions

501 to clean then topped with 105. Or 601 then 105. You can even just do the 105 by itself; it gives a nice deep wet look.

    ? about machine silver car

Interesting...I'd never thought to use a green LC pad with a finishing polish. The green LC pads I have supposedly fall between the orange and white pads in terms of cut.

    Flex or Megs?

I think you also need to consider the condition of the paint on each of your own cars. How much time do you want to spend polishing/correcting?

    Flex questions

I wouldn't say soak it, because it'll sling off onto your car's paint. I would dab and allow it to soak through after a few hours. Whatever you do, don't get the felt ring wet. I just purchased a 3.5" BP for my UDM to use in the tight spots and on the A-pillars.

I believe vodka and cinnamon was as effective a mouthwash as Scope.

Getting a Flex or PC ?

It can accomodate either, but I would advise you use the 6.5" LC pads as that extra 1/2" on either side of the BP provides a safety cushion should you slip and hit a side-view mirror or wiper blade, etc. A 5.5" pad would increase the chances of the BP directly hitting something.

    Weekend Plans....

Detailing meet on Sunday with littlemissGTO and a couple members from another forum! We're gonna have BBQ, a bunch of different products to sample and 3 different rotaries to try out; hitachi, makita and flex 603. Not sure how many cars we're actually going to try to tackle though.

    system one

IME, working time is much less than Menzerna 106FA and it also dusts quite a bit more. But I've also been advised "get in, get out as quick as you can" is one way to use it.

Is 106ff adequate enough to remove medium swirling w/ flex3401?

Sometimes I wish I'd gone straight to a rotary.

    Dg 101

Or even 501 followed by 105 or AW or both.
