I find them to be a pain in the ass and decline them. Front fender (if removed) and tank are not bad but some of these full dresser bikes with hard bags, luggage racks, full stereos ect. are not worth it imo. Long story short, I hate doing them

Seats are easy to remove.... especially that vehicle.

I have never had the slightest issue removing any brand coating with any fine polish. It removes very quick and easy. I'm guessing it's something else

The purple California polish is nothing short of amazing on aluminum

Also to add to my previous post, Everyone had a different vision of mirror finish. When someone says mirror finish I think of trying to mimic chrome.... which no, those Mickey wheels are probably not going to get there.

I would expect them to be a better quality but I was just saying it as broad statement that is not always possible and usually more often then not to get a mirror finish from aluminum

To add to the other two posts that I agree with..... as far as a mirror like finish..... it is possible but there are many different qualitys of aluminum where some of the lesser or even average quality aluminum will not provide a mirror finish no matter what you do

This gets my vote also..... go to dip your car and pick out a color, reduce it and spray it with a lvlp gun.

Like said above.... you can't on some but I have a Harbor Freight da that I have a 3in. 5in. and 6in. backing plate for. I also have other tools like the Rupes Nano, Flex Forced rotation, Flex cordless rotary, 21mm da ect....

Get a da that you can swap out the backing plate for a 3in.
