I noticed this problem before I even started using it. It took me 5 minutes of breaking it down to realize that not only does the shroud contact the backing plate but so does the counter weight. There needs to be a spacer to space out the backing plate and the machine.

with a 3" pad would you say it corrects better than a PC with a 3"?? it seems like the shroud overhangs the BP

I'm not entirely sure but I don't think the 75e could really take a washer mod or if it would benefit. I think the 12e has a similar shroud to the 15 and 21 and could benefit from some sort of spacer. .
