Girlfriend bought me a GG6 for Christmas! What to get next?

I don't have the GG6 but you should make sure that backing plate fits. If it was me I wouldn't get so much black and blue pads. The polish and compound pads are the ones you go through. And I swear these backing plates already come with compression washers so I don't think you need more unless...

Girlfriend bought me a GG6 for Christmas! What to get next?

BTW I think there is a 20 percent off coupon right now for VIP. I don't think the GG6 takes 4" pads does it? Does the 5" backing plate not already come with compression washers? Looks good to me. Though you could probably use black pads to apply wax as well leaving you to get one more...

Girlfriend bought me a GG6 for Christmas! What to get next?

The kit comes with a 5" backing plate and 5" pads but your GG6 kit already comes with 6.5 pads and 6" backing plate. Not sure if you want to add to your 6.5" pads rather then getting a new backing plate and pad sizing. I would also get a pad conditioning brush and some more quality microfiber...

Need help on a rupes or flex!

If you are new to polishing I would say the Rupes is easier to use With that.. I would get the Rupes 21 and fit the 5" pad from the 15 onto it. Future proof.

    Rupes Knock Off

I don't think a rotary or DA polisher is an invention that only a single brand is capable of producing. Especially rotary polishers. Its not impossible for a company to make a DA polisher with larger throw to mimic Rupes. And its def not hard to make a rotary polisher. Question is if the design...

PRE-ORDER: Rupes LHR 12E Duetto & LHR 75E Mini Polishers!

got to try out a 75e for myself this weekend. larger than I expected. Its about the same size as a porter cable. def not as small as the GG3. But its got much better power. I'd be interested to see the correction power of the 75E compared to the cheapo porter.

    opti-glass durability?

What sort of durability are people getting with Opti-Glass? I've tried the consumer version and it's not last long at all. I almost feel like RainX lasted longer  It also doesn't seem to bead/shed water that well either..

3.5" Backing Plates and 4" Spot Repair Pads on DA Polishers

Yep. I've just recently figured this out as I had that backing plate that I was originally using for 4" LC pads then realized I could use the spot 3" pads from my griots mini to make a super mini rotary combo. I just have ONE complaint. It seems like the pad conditioning brush along with the...

3.5" Backing Plates and 4" Spot Repair Pads on DA Polishers

My porter with 4" pads has destroyed dozens of 4" pads. I don't believe its the rotational speed. Its the oscillations and the rotations together that just strip the pads apart. The center of the 4" pads always collapse while the outer edge will blow open. I just use rotary w/ a 4" pad for...

rupes21 making a loud noise the first time

The noise only appeared when I first turned the machine on for the very first time. It was a loud metal clanking noise for the first 5 minutes. I panicked and took the pad off and tightened the backing plate because I figured that might be the case. It was tight though.. It went away after a few...
