    Chrome Polish

    I like the Mother's polish, no marring in my experience. Only the muffler is chrome on my bike though. I don't know how the HD guys can deal w/ acres of chrome. It's a pain is the arse. Not a chrome fan as you can tell, too much work and short durability (sounds a little like carnauba).

    Claying

    In my experience the worst embedded dirt is behind the wheels(lower sides not wheel wells) and very low on the car after that i think the hood. I think after many years of washing top down anything else i do to the car is automatically top down.

    As a tip for the future if you don't already know. Use a detail brush first on plastic gauge faceplates to remove the grit w/o scratching then use whatever protectant you want after.

    It seems to me the whole temp thing is kind of pointless. If the wax is still beading it's still there protecting. This just leads to the durability question which every one knows is pretty short. IMO

    I can vouch for the PB trick works likes a charm. I rub it in with my fingers and wipe off with a rag.

    While the soap may or may not remove some product. I think the friction of washing with a mitt or whatever and airflow over and around the car does more to deteriorate the finish. I've noticed after my last wax job (Zymol Z4 wax) that the hood of the car shows less beading/ more deterioration...
