1 year coating for Midwest winter salt?

Sorry, I meant as part of the wipe off. I think it is usually recommended for two...1 for leveling and one for removal. I was going to add a towel or two to the removal step so as I switch they are less contaminated per say.

1 year coating for Midwest winter salt?

Thanks, this makes me a little more comfortable. I was always thinking it was from the application process.

1 year coating for Midwest winter salt?

LOL, you've told me this a few times... maybe I should start listening! Let me ask you this then and I know we are two different climates but do think I would be fine with the CanCoat (1 or 2) in the spring and then another in the fall before winter for the salt belt I'm in? Or would I be...

1 year coating for Midwest winter salt?

So next dumb question then! I've looked but can't seem to find it. High spots are what is scaring me...where do they come from? Is it missing spots when applying? Waiting too long before wiping off? Not wiping off enough? If from not wiping off enough, I wouldn't feel so bad then, I would...

1 year coating for Midwest winter salt?

Thanks for the PS part! I feel bad sometimes because I try to research as much as I can before I ask something because I hate it when someone asks something that they could have figured out if they took a minute to look... I've literally seen it (as I'm sure everyone has) where someone starts a...

1 year coating for Midwest winter salt?

Not unhelpful at all... your idea may have been something I never thought of. I want it to last because I want to do as little polishing or for the polishing to be as easy as possible.

1 year coating for Midwest winter salt?

The reason I've been looking at a lite is because of ease (hopefully) of use. I've never done a coating, but just as you said about doing all the prep is why I am second guessing a lite.

1 year coating for Midwest winter salt?

Let me first off say that I'm sorry and will stop with all the dumb questions after this...I am just going crazy being out of work so I just keep researching which makes me go back and forth. On to my question...I have 2 vehicles with really good finishes on them already that I would only need...

Foam cannon wash/shampoo recommendation for coating

Thanks! I'll look into your suggestions. I was thinking hyper wash if I didn't get a lot of positive response about reset.

Foam cannon wash/shampoo recommendation for coating

New to coatings and don't know what to use? I have about 3/4 of a gallon of Meg's Gold Class which from my research will work in a foam cannon, but is it ok for a coating? If ok, should I ditch it for something else once used up? Should I switch to something different right away? I see a lot...

    PA Invincible Primer Spritz

Sorry, yes I meant the primer and cosmic combo compared to CanCoat.

    PA Invincible Primer Spritz

Any idea on longevity? I read 10-12 months if you use the cosmic every month or two I think. I wonder how long with just the original application of cosmic. I'm assuming it's a lite so how would it compare to CanCoat? I don't know if it's the price that not many people buy it or it just...

    PA Invincible Primer Spritz

A YouTube video that is new just popped up on my feed. Is this new? Has anybody tried it with the cosmic? PA isn't cheap but I don't think I've ever read anything bad about them. It seems users usually comment about the price but say it's worth it.

Removing old ceramic coating for new coating?

Thanks, I'll look into the BF. I've heard good things about PA and Kamikaze.

Removing old ceramic coating for new coating?

Thanks! I was going to play around a little with a few different maintenance sprays. I was going to get cure for sure for full strength and 1:1. I was also thinking about Ech2o to dilute as well as to make elixir with the cure. Then most likely I would grab Meg's hybrid ceramic detailer to try too.

Removing old ceramic coating for new coating?

All I was getting at is that I think a coating and then a booster would make me really happy! If it has good hydrophobics and self cleaning so all I have to do is a quick wash (self cleaning) and blow most of the water off to dry but give up a little slickness (compared to a fresh sealant/wax)...

Removing old ceramic coating for new coating?

Good to know, thanks! I would have thought something that new would be a lot harder to do. I wouldn't be doing anything until the coating is about the end of it's life which I would think most of it would be worn off anyways?

Removing old ceramic coating for new coating?

I understand that a coating isn't slick but don't the boosters help? I was kind of picking on PNS/BSD because I thought I read that the BSD still didn't add anything, but I thought Cure and others helped add a little? I do just need to get out and do it though! I know that for what I want...
