Collinite #845: The Definitive How-To Guide For This Legendary Wax

Finally used Collinite 845 today and WOW! First observartion is that the product goes along way. I followed the recommendation of moving the product into a smaller squeeze bottle and may have used 2 oz for a Lexus 400H.. I was amazed that once the product is in liquid form(very important) it...

    Giving up traditional washing?

I'm on the fence regarding this subject. What bothers me is that ONR goes away from the concept of allowing the product to lossen contaminants and reduce the amount of rubbing friction. As the these products continue to improve with lubricants and polymers, I can see them behaving like the...

    washing pads in washer

Before I had a pad washer, I would use XMT pad cleaner after I used them. After returning home I put them on the "hand wash" cycle by them selves. Never had an issue. Now I keep a bucket filled with 3 gallons water and DP pad rej. They are soaked immediately after uising them. Once the detail...

    Best wax for the price?

845 is by far the best when it comes to price performance. Personally I think the p21s is great. Much easier to put on than the 845 and delivers a briliant shine on whites and reds..

How often do you change pads during a detail?

I wanted to take a quick poll on the number of pads people use while detailing cars with your DA's? Are you a single pad per panel type of guy, 1 pad per side or 1 pad per car. For the sake of converstation, lets assume you are applying a 1 step product like XMT 360. Personally, I use 2-3 pads...

advice on price list for hobby detailer

First, congratulations on your new venture. It can be as profitable and rewarding as you make it. My first suggestion is to consider what type of detailed you want to be. Try this without a steamer

I'm considering adding a steamer (McCulloch MC-1275) to and would like to understand how to use the device properly. In the case of the picture shown, how did you apply the steamer? How much time did it take to clean? What considerations should I review in regards to what to should/should not...

    Steamer suggestions.

Alex, The Bissell comes with two attachments. One slightly larger than my fist and one alittle smaller. Both allowed me to clean the carpet mats, seats and floorboards in both vertical and horizontal pattern with room to spare. The only issue I saw was reaching the areas between the seat and...

    Steamer suggestions.

I just purchased one 2 weeks ago and would recommend the proheat version. It clearned the carpets well and appreciated the size and quatity of attachements.. The spayer delivers a good amount of solution and the suction was adequate to extract most of the fuild from the carpet.
