    Griot's G9 ?

Pads that would be versatile, a great all around basic Pad, are not too aggressive, but can be combined with a variety of compounds and polishes to great effect and results would be the 5.5" White Lake Country Thinpro Pads. The degree of correction will then be varied by the Polishes you...

    Most swirl resistant ceramic

True, Nothing is going to protect against vandalism, severe neglect, or a mishap of say driving in a 40mph windstorm and a tumbleweed, or a cardboard box comes flying across the road and collides with your vehicle. Ask me how I know? LOL Once living in southern New Mexico (14 years) sure had...

    Most swirl resistant ceramic

Now here's a simple vid on CQuartz application. You might think, "crap, he's just wiping off all the coating he just applied!" Nope! On a properly prepped panel, this stuff is on! And it's on with a rock hard glass finish and it's not coming off anytime soon! Some do 2 coats. IMO it's not...

    Most swirl resistant ceramic

There's a good many number of fans of GTechniq products. I have limited exposure to them only trying two. One was OK, and the other I had trouble with. It's not that easy to swirl a vehicle that has a fresh CQuartz Coating upon it. You have to be using some pretty poor wash techniques, and...

    Most swirl resistant ceramic

Welcome to the forum! Nice car, wish you the best of luck. If it was any other color, I'd maybe suggest bypassing a ceramic coating, using something like Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant 3.0 and follow with Pinnacle Crystal Mist Spray. Having owned black, I know what a bugger black is to...

    Best tire dressings?

I do like Optimum's line of products, both the Opti-Bond Gel, and the Tire Shine. None of these types of dressings will last quite like a coating will, but the Optimum products seem like they do a very good job of "feeding" a tire.

    Best tire dressings?

    I agree.

    Some Oldz Blue Coral

Slipstream was another hard bust you butt nuba wax I remember buying once, made for Airplanes, and if I recall correctly bore the "Classic" brand.

    Some Oldz Blue Coral

Yep, the kind of wax where you apply with a dampened applicator, apply to a 12"x12" or 18"x18" area as thin as possible, and pick up the "Baby Diaper" to wipe off immediately. That was commonly the routine on my white '67 Vette. LOL But boy oh boy when I got done! It was worth the work!

    Griots polisher broke

I can understand that to a point, and your comments do make logical sense. Still, I think one needs to "read the fine print", which I've not seen Griots make any such mention of. Perhaps such information has been updated, I have no idea as I don't follow Griots Garage that closely. I can...

    Griots polisher broke

That's odd I thought. Now there's "price differences"? Some people get free shipping tags, others don't, others free exchange and other's don't? What gives?

Review: Griot's Garage G8 Headlight Sander

Very wise Mike to mention "2" layers of Tape for this type of work. Unless you're going to mask with Gorilla Duct Tape, I once found out 1 tape layer is not adequate for protection of surrounding paint-trim. Even when working with sanding papers the hard and slow way, by hand

What consumer polish / wax / my first time with DA.. Firebird

Generally, a D/A with finishing polishes, and compatible foam pads will amp shine, remove swirls, but will likely not be that effective at removing, or considerably lessen the effect of orange peel. You might want to look at Polishing Pads that are specifically designed for such, as the ones...

Dealership put swirl marks on my new car

No! Don't trust the dealer's shallow promises.

    CarPro echo2

I've had it diluted into a spray for months, zero problems. I keep all such products indoors.

    Removing Old Pinstriping

There are special rubber attachment wheels made from a rubber that can be attached to a cordless drill that work just fine for removing pinstripe without a risk of damage to the paint. You'd likely find such attachments at an auto paint supply house. They usually range in price at around...

Packed like sardines in a sardine can!

OMG! Just imagine, waking through that menagerie, and a "Mr. Myagi" walks up and says 'Pick One!" Yeah, there's some 6 figure exotics in there. Me, and not thinking about dollars, it might be a toss up between the Red Stingray, and the Riviera. I'd be like, "do I have to choose just one...

Should I clean my undercarriage or no point

Some say it holds no advantage. Me, I've always tried keeping up with underside maintainence and cleanings as the winter wore on. Like is mentioned, and when permissible, a run over to the coin op wash, clear water spray best I could, wheel wells, underside, get all that nasty hanging ice...
