So many products to choose from. I need some help.

As Mike Phillips mentioned in his video short I linked to, a product like Wolfgang WETS penetrates into trim. Versus a product like PERL, it's a product that doesn't easily wash, or wear off. After application trim pieces bead water just like a wax.

So many products to choose from. I need some help.

As mentioned, Opti-Seal is a very easy to use product, a optically clear liquid. Very hard to foul up an application. One might have a tendency to over-apply, most likely because you want to insure full coverage. When over-applying, what you might see is a little hazing where the product hasn't...

So many products to choose from. I need some help.

I'm on my second bottle of Optimum Opti Seal, or is it the third, great wipe on walk away product. Not sure I'd use it as a drying aid though. What many of us face right now in the northern hemisphere, is questionable-iffy conditions in which to apply any products, Heated Garage-Shop, then...

So many products to choose from. I need some help.

I think I started with a 4oz bottle, then upped to an 8oz, and the last time I bought another bottle about 1-1/2 months ago, it was a pint! I've not found a product I like better on rubber weatherstrip. Some like those Gummi Fledge applicators. me not so much. "Mikey Likes It!" LOL YouTube

So many products to choose from. I need some help.

Thanks Paul for this info. (McKees vs WG) Spreading Wolfgang WETS is almost like trying to spread Mazola Corn Oil. It is an oily product, but like a "silicone oily". And like I said, a little goes far. For small parts and areas, let's say the weatherstrip on a trunk lid, a door, under hood...

So many products to choose from. I need some help.

With products such as Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant (WETS) one usually doesn't have to go really nuts with removal of other trim products, that WETS won't work properly and bond. But with Coatings such as Carpro CQuartz DLX for Trim, then yes, parts need to be thoroughly cleaned of any other...

So many products to choose from. I need some help.

All the products you've chosen are good. I'd say if possible, considering temperature conditions, I'd do the entire vehicle with Colly #476. Then every few months if again possible, use Colly #845 to maintain. Both are relatively inexpensive. And both are Hybrids, Natural Waxes, and Poly...

    Rupes Mille

I've kicked around such for a while, of upping and refining my game, hopefully selling off a couple other tools I have, and buying the Rupes Mille. I like many features of the Mille, and think they'd be a good personal fit for myself. Clockwise Rotation, comes equipped stock with a 29' Cord...

    Griots g9 broken?

I'll make another intelligent claim, that professionals likely turn to these machines such as the Mille, and 3401 as their real bread and butter money makers because of their consistency of correction abilities. That many don't wish to struggle and fight with the inherit variability of pad...

    Griots g9 broken?

I'm certainly no top authority here to toot my horn on some subjects, but, are you asking can one machine such as the Rupes Mille or Flex 3401 do it all? From heavier cutting with compounds and coarser Pads to finesse finishing and jeweling-etc with milder polishes, glazes, waxes, with ultra...

    Griots g9 broken?

Makes logical sense there. Same applies to the Porter Cable DA, Duetto, etc., any 'free wheeler". Reckon if one never wants to deal with possible stall with a DA, then a Flex 3401 or Rupes Mille is the ticket.

    Griots g9 broken?

Maybe what Griots meant to say was a possible revision needed with the Power Cord? Who knows? And from the few posts of those getting a G8 and having problems? Again, could this be related to a Power Cord? Do they both use the same Power Cord? Or no? I surely have no axe to grind with...

    Best Rotary

Milwaukee is a tool usually never mentioned. They are buletproof, I have one, and these are machines I doubt you could ever wear out in a lifetime. But they are also crazy heavy, that's IMO the biggest dislike. You better have arms like Hulk Hogan.

Not what we had planned for the holidays

I am deeply sorry for your loss. My own mother passed, January 18 2017, on her own 85th Birthday. She suffered many long years had colon cancer 8 years prior, then a total colostomy 7 months prior to her death. Was under in home Hospice care for exactly 2 months and two days. She passed...

    Awesome Experience with P&S Beadmaker

I reckon it is much better to stay on top of things, rather than the opposite, to neglect a vehicle. Carry on Montague! :-)

    Coating Freeze

That's a tough call? I think something like Carpro Cquartz has some form of a volatile carrier solvent. Might it freeze? Possibly in sub-zero temps, but think it's more impervious than say water is. Possibly the carrier solvent is something like Isopropanol? (An Alcohol) The surrounding of...

Compound to use once a year by hand

My personal preference, I like using Microfiber Applicators versus using Foam Applicators for things like Polishing. I think they are more effective, and will create better cut. I prefer though using Foam Applicators for Waxes and Sealants, that I believe application is easier, and that a...

    Recommendations for products

Probably doesn't matter much if your car is new, or used, but it takes inspection to decide then what courses of action and products might need to be used. Let's take appearance. If you're not noting much in the way of swirling and light scratches in the finish, then for now you might not have...
