    '08 Town Car, 100% AutoGeek.net Products

Forgot to say that all of the Lincoln pictures are before I applied the DP Nano Coating. All of the pictures are after Wolfgang correction. No finish coat.

    '08 Town Car, 100% AutoGeek.net Products

I worked over 40 hours and 4 days on this Lincoln Town Car that had been neglected for seven years. Used Wolfgang and Nanoskin on the exterior and Wolfgang on the interior. Lake Country CCS 5 1/2" pads and LC 4" backing plate system. Gold Plush Junior Towels. The owner did not think it could...

The NEW FLEX PE8 Kompakt Rotary Polisher in ACTION!

Re: The NEW Flex PE8 Precision Rotary Polisher in ACTION! Excellent, I agree 100%. I assume the same thing when Mike demonstrates the 3401. Like you I hardly ever change the speed setting. When I was working for four days this week the Flex speed stayed between 3 and 4 and I used the soft...

The NEW FLEX PE8 Kompakt Rotary Polisher in ACTION!

Re: The NEW Flex PE8 Precision Rotary Polisher in ACTION! I really like the size, the design and the small pad for getting into though spots. When comparing buffer pad size we have to consider the ratio of rpm to inches per second at the outside circumference of the pads. I assume Flex adjusted...

    Nanoskin questions

Like I said in another post, if you try the Nanoskin system you will throw the clay in the trash. I wasn't joking, the results are much better, quicker and easier. The only way I would use clay again is if I couldn't get the Nanoskin pads any more.

Any Advice? Removing Type 1 Bird Droppings on Jet Black BMW 328i

glisten, I have personally seen this one time before. The only thing I could come up with was chemical etchings. It was on a Buick my wife drove to work and one week they just showed up. I think something came out of a truck on the interstate and ate through the paint. I'm just guessing but have...

The NEW FLEX PE8 Kompakt Rotary Polisher in ACTION!

Re: The NEW Flex PE8 Precision Rotary Polisher in ACTION! Looks like a very nice small machine. I could have used it this week while working on a neglected Town Car that was rough, pictures to follow. Results were good using my 3401 but I worked my butt off correcting everything. I almost...

    First day with 3401 impressions

This is a excellent question. I used mine all day today on a jet black '08 Lincoln Town Car. The pads you use make a big difference on how smooth the 3401 runs. Used, orange, white and blue CCS 5 1/2" pads and it ran as smooth as silk. Put on a new Rupes blue 6 1/2" cutting pad, just to try it...

When you do a detail, do you always claybar the glass in addition to the paint?

JoeHotRod, I run a Nanoskin pad lubricated with Nano Shock on all of the glass. Makes it slick and decontaminated. If you try Nanoskin and N Shock, I'm pretty sure you will throw the clay in the trash. IMO, one of the most amazing of the new products that has been introduced in a long time.

    Looking for more "pop"

I can't really add much to what has already been said. Just a thought, one more option since your looking for something that is fairly low cost you might want to try a coat of Meguiars Gold Class Carnauba Plus. I use it on my daughters Honda with medium burgundy deep metallic, that is...

    Flex 3401 with MF pads?

I've been experimenting with MF pads on my Flex and have found the key to the pad running smoothly is keeping it wet. When the pad starts drying out the machine is difficult to control but when kept wet it runs fine. For me, the verdict is still out on MF pads, while keeping the pads wet I...

    Where to store MF towels?

I throw mine in the washer with what ever detergent my wife has at the time. Hot water and double rinse. Then put them in the dryer on medium heat. Use them over and over, can't tell them from new. Store them in cabinets with doors. They stay clean and work fine. I am getting another cabinet...

    Flex 3401 with MF pads?

I agree with everything said. I only have the thin pads as of now and I noticed the movement with the Flex that all of you are describing. I will try the thicker foam pads when I make my next order. On the plus side the correction time was so much quicker than foam, it was much easier on my...

    finishing with a dewalt DWP849X

I've been a rotary man for over 50 years and always will be. I have good friends in the body shop business that use the 3M system. I have used their system for many years. For a long time they had two foam pads but then they came out with a third blue finishing pad that will give excellent...

Air blow guns on our air compressors. Some of you who use blow guns, for cleaning pads or just cleaning out parts of cars and trucks, might be interested in what I do to make them work better. Several years ago the government made manufacturers reduce the volume of air at the nozzle to...

Any way to keep the undercarriage looking new?

I agree, many years ago some of the car companies started using a wax substance that looked like white carnauba sprayed on the inside of fenders and other places prone to rust. It was probably more complicated than just wax but I saw a video on TV and have wondered ever since if we couldn't...
